XIC OET Eligibility
Candidates need to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria before they start filling the online application form. It is necessary to check the eligibility criteria as if the candidate is found not eligible even if he/she has submitted the application form for the exam, the candidature of such candidate will be canceled.
As per the eligibility criteria for the Xavier Institute of Communications Entrance Exam, any aspirant is eligible to apply if they meet the following requirements:
- Must be 35 years or below in age
- Completed 3 years of graduation in any discipline from University approved stream in India
- Candidates appearing for last semester or Third-year Graduation in the present Academic year are also eligible to apply.
XIC OET Exam Pattern
Candidates must know the exam pattern to get a qualifying score in the XIC CET. To better understand the question pattern must the read below points and for success prepare strategies according to this pattern and syllabus.
- Duration of the test: 90 minutes
- Total Marks: 150
The test will consist of two sections:
- Objective Section: This section carries 100 marks and will be of 60 minutes.
- Subjective Section: This section carries 50 marks and will be 30 minutes.
Syllabus for XIC OET

Language Skills: In this section of the exam, language ability of the aspirants will be tested. Questions shall be from topics related to correct the spellings, singular, plural, synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases, one-word substitutes, comprehension passages, etc.
General Knowledge: In this section questions will be related to general knowledge and current affairs awareness will be asked to test the aspirant’s aptitude regarding the same. Logical And Analytical Skills: In this section, a candidate’s problem-solving ability will be tested. Aspirants should practice questions from topics like – Series, Blood Relations, Directions, Critical Reasoning, Syllogism, and Analogy.
XIC OET Admission Procedure
- The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Online Test and Skype Interview.
- After the online test results are declared, only those who attain a minimum qualifying mark as laid down by the XIC Academic Board will be called for a Personal Interview via a ‘SKYPE’ Video Interview. (S V I ).
- This SKYPE video interview will be conducted immediately after the completion of the Online Test and probably at the same OET Centre.
- For few courses rather than SVI, there shall be a Group discussion and Personal Interview.
