XIC has not announced the 2027 schedule, so the table shows expected months based on the 2026 cycle. In 2026 registration closed on 9 April, the online test was held on 12, 18 and 19 April, and the final selected list was put up on 4 May 2026.

How to Apply for XIC OET 2027
You register online through the Register link on xaviercomm.org and pay a fee of Rs 2,500 (including GST) for each course you apply to. The 2027 registration is expected to open around March 2027; the steps below follow XIC’s 2026 instructions.
Apply Online for XIC OET 2027
Applications for XIC OET 2027 are expected in March 2027.
- Open the XIC registration page (the Register link on xaviercomm.org) once 2027 registration opens.
- Keep ready a recent passport-size photo on a plain background and one ID proof (driving licence, passport or Aadhaar), as JPG files of up to 1 MB.
- Fill in your details, choose your course and pick your preferred XOET date and Zoom interview date.
- Write and submit your Statement of Purpose (SOP). It may be discussed at the interview, so give it real thought.
- Pay the fee by debit or credit card, net banking or UPI.
- Note your application number. If registration fails, XIC sends instructions for a fresh form with a new application number.

Who can apply for XIC OET 2027?
You can apply if you are 35 years old or younger and have a three-year degree, or are in the final year of one. XIC sets these conditions on its admissions page.
- Age: 35 years or below.
- Qualification: three years of graduation (12+3) in any university-approved stream in India, such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE or Catering.
- Final-year students: you can apply while appearing for the last semester or third year of graduation.
- If selected as a final-year student, you get the PG Diploma only after you complete graduation and submit an attested consolidated mark sheet.
Which courses can you join through XIC OET 2027?
XIC OET is the entrance test for the seven full-time Post-graduate Diploma courses at XIC Mumbai. Each course runs for 11 months, and you take the test for the course you register for.

Course fees differ by course. For example, XIC lists a total of Rs 4,58,724 for the PG Diploma in Journalism and Media Convergence, including tuition of Rs 3,84,130 plus GST and other charges.
What is the XIC OET 2027 exam pattern?
XIC OET is a 60-minute online test for 100 marks, split into an objective section and a subjective section of 30 minutes each. This is the 2026 pattern; XIC has not announced any change for 2027.

- Your test login details are emailed about 10 minutes before your slot, so check your inbox and spam folder and start the test as soon as they arrive.
- Answers written in SMS language or with needless abbreviations are not assessed.
How does XIC select candidates?
Selection has two stages: the online test, then a Zoom interview for candidates who qualify. XIC emails qualified candidates, and attending the interview is compulsory.
- Your SOP may be discussed at the Zoom interview.
- XIC then puts up a final selected list on its website, followed by a wait list.
- Selected candidates must pay the fee by the deadline, or the seat goes to the next person on the wait list.
