How to Check the XIC OET 2020 Result?
All the candidates who have appeared in all the rounds of the admission process will be able to check the result. Candidates need to follow some simple steps for the same which are provided here.
Step 1: Visit official website xaviercomm.org or click on the above link to access the link.
Step 2: The link will open a new window.
Step 3: Now a new window will open, select the course for which you have given the test. For example if you appeared in the entrance examination for Journalism, you should click on the link ‘Journalism and Mass Communication’.
Step 4: Now a list of selected students will appear on the page for the respective course.

XIC OET 2020 Admission Process
The admission process of XIC consists of different rounds i.e Online entrance test, Skype Video interview / Personal Interview and Group Discussion rounds. Candidates who perform well in all these rounds will be considered as selected for admission to the respective course. The different stages of the admission process are as follows.
Online Entrance Test
The online entrance test will be of 90 minutes and consists of 150 marks. It contains two sections follows.
- Objective Section: Carries 100 marks and to be completed in 60 minutes. It consists of questions based on Language Skills, General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media, Logical and Analytical skills.
- Subjective Section: Carries 50 marks and to be completed in 30 minutes. It consists of 3 questions which could be media related in order to assess creativity, social values, writing skills, etc of the candidate. Some questions can also be related to the Course you are applying for.
Skype Video Interview/ Personal Interview + Group Discussion (for PR only)
The next round consists of Skype interview/ Group Discussion and personal interview which will check applicant’s communication skills, leadership skills etc. This round will help in determining a person’s ability to handle real-life things.

XIC OET is the entrance exam conducted by the Xavier Institute of Communications for admission into various PG Diploma courses. Ans. No individual’s result will be available, only a list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the official website.

Ans. No. There is no such provision of revaluation of the result.
Q. What to do next if my name is in the list of shortlisted candidates?
Ans. If any of the candidates get selected for the respective course then the next step will be to verify the documents and submit the course fee.
Q: What Happens after the “Skype Video” / “Live Interview”?
Ans: You will have to wait patiently for the Results. Based on the overall performance, a final list of successful candidates is drawn up on the XIC Website and the XIC Notice Boards.
Q: Will a ‘waitlist’ be announced?
Ans: Yes, the waitlist will be announced in order to fill the vacant seats.
Q: Do I need to submit any documents for admission?
Ans: The following documents have to be submitted in the XIC Office to confirm your admission. Kindly submit these documents along with the Fees. Outstation candidates will have to submit the documents on the first day of college.
- Two Photographs (3cms x 3cms)
- Original Graduation Mark-sheet along with an attested photocopy
- Attested Address Proof
- Students Attestation Form (to be downloaded from the XIC official website) to be duly filled.
Q: What happens in case of a ‘No show’?
Ans: If the fees are not received by the XIC office within the stipulated period, it will be taken for granted that you wish to abstain your seat. XIC will then approach the next candidate in line on the waitlist, in order to fill the vacant seat.
