Rajasthan PBMET 2026 is the Pre B.Ed.-M.Ed. admission process for the 3-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course in Rajasthan’s teacher training colleges, run by the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. There is no written test this year: seats go on merit. Applications closed on 11 October 2026; the merit list and counselling come next.

Is there a PBMET 2026 entrance exam?
No. The University of Rajasthan’s 2026 guidelines say admission to the Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course in the 2026 process will not be made through a written exam. Seats are filled from a merit list, followed by online counselling.
This is a change from 2025, when PBMET was a 100-question written test held in Jaipur on 22 June 2025. The university has not said whether a written test will return for 2027, so check the official notice each year.

How to Apply for Rajasthan PBMET 2026
Applications were taken online only, on the University of Rajasthan admission portal under Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Admission. The portal accepted forms until 11 October 2026 and edits until 13 October 2026, so the form is now closed. The final extension notice gave 10 October and 11 to 12 October.
Apply Online for Rajasthan PBMET 2026
The Rajasthan PBMET 2026 application window (22 September to 11 October 2026) has closed.
- Read the PBMET 2026 guidelines and check your own eligibility. The university does not check forms at the application stage.
- Open Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Admission on uniofraj.org and register.
- Pay the Rs 1,100 admission process fee online by debit card, UPI, net banking or e-Mitra. If a payment fails, wait 30 minutes and use Check Payment Status before paying again.
- Fill in your name and your parents’ names exactly as on your marksheets, your own mobile number and email, and your bank account details with IFSC for any later refund.
- Check the preview carefully. Do not attach certificates with the online form.
- Print three copies of the form and fee receipt. Two copies go to the college at admission.

If you pay for counselling but do not get admission, the university refunds the Rs 5,000 after deducting a processing charge, to the bank account given in your form.
Who can apply for Rajasthan PBMET 2026?
You need a master’s degree in a Science, Social Science or Humanities subject from a recognised university, equivalent to a PG degree of Rajasthan’s universities, with these minimum marks:

- Final-year PG students can apply. If your result is not out by 15 October 2026, you must give a declaration on a Rs 50 non-judicial stamp paper and submit the original marksheet as soon as it is declared.
- Your graduation or PG must give you two school teaching subjects, each studied for at least two years with a yearly exam. Subjects such as General English, General Hindi or General Education do not count.
- B.B.A., B.C.A., B.E. or B.Sc. Biotechnology graduates whose subjects do not give two teaching subjects are not eligible.
- Commerce graduates cannot take Economics as a teaching subject.
How is the PBMET 2026 merit list prepared?
The guidelines say the merit list is prepared from the marks candidates have obtained, under the Pre B.Ed.-M.Ed. rules. They do not give a weighting formula. Merit is worked out faculty-wise, using the faculty of your graduation.
- If two or more candidates have equal marks, the one with higher graduation marks ranks first. If those are equal too, the older candidate ranks first.
- Unreserved seats are filled first, then the reserved quotas. Reserved seats left vacant can go to the general merit list.
- Women’s teacher training colleges admit only women candidates; co-educational colleges admit both on merit.
How are PBMET 2026 seats reserved?
5% of seats go on overall merit to candidates from any state, as long as their merit is not below the last admitted Rajasthan candidate of that category. The rest are for Rajasthan domicile candidates, with these reservations:

Category certificates must be recent ones from the District Magistrate, SDM or Tehsildar. A married woman can use her husband’s Rajasthan domicile with his domicile certificate and a marriage certificate.
What happens in PBMET 2026 counselling?
Colleges are allotted through online counselling after the merit list. The university will post the counselling schedule on uniofraj.org.
- Check the merit list and counselling schedule on uniofraj.org.
- Register for counselling and pay the Rs 5,000 registration fee online.
- Fill your college choices in order of preference.
- Download the allotment letter, pay the fee as instructed and report to the allotted college with your original marksheets, domicile and category certificates and attested copies, by the given date.
If you skip counselling, do not enter choices in time or refuse an allotted college, you lose your place in the merit list. Once a college is allotted, no change or transfer is allowed.
What was the last PBMET written test like?
PBMET 2025, held on 22 June 2025 in Jaipur, was an offline OMR test of 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, 1 mark each with no negative marking. The paper was given in Hindi or English, as chosen in the form.

This pattern is not used for PBMET 2026, which has no test. It is useful only if the university brings the written test back in a later year.
