This year, for the Bachelor programmes, Presidency University is going to release a merit list. The admission in bachelor programmes is strictly based on the merit. The General Merit List is going to be prepared according to the academic score of candidates in 10+2. The academic scores are then, used to prepare GMR (General Merit Rank). It must be noted that the allotment of the seats shall be done according to GMR.

Presidency University 2020 Application Form
The application form for Presidency University Admission 2020 (PBDET / PUMDET) online at the Board website. No offline form is released for the candidates. To apply for the entrance exam, candidates need to register and then proceed to fill in details in the application form. In PUBDET / PUMDET 2020 form, candidates need to provide personal details, educational qualification, etc. Also, you need to upload the scanned image of their passport size photo / signature in the application form.

To be eligible for admission in Presidency University the candidates have to qualify the entrance exam and to be able to appear for the entrance exam below are the eligibility norms:
For PUBDET 2020
Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Age Criteria: There is no upper or lower age limit.
Education qualification:
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from Council of Higher Education, West Bengal or any other equivalent examination.
- Candidates must have qualified with a minimum of 5 subjects including English also. The aggregate is calculated from the best four subjects.
- Applicants with International International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualification must have at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level, with English in either of the two levels.
Minimum marks in 10+2 level: As per the course applied for the candidates must have the following marks in 10+2 to apply for PUBDET 2020

Education Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed (not before 2020) or appearing for the examination of B.A./B.Sc (Hons) in 2020
- Applicants who have appeared in the final year of BA/B.Sc (Hons) must appear with the original documents at the time of counselling.
- A candidate who appeared in the final year of BA/B.Sc (Hons) but don’t have the final result at the time of counselling will be given provisional admission based on production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of previous semester of graduation level.

Presidency University Admission 2020 Reservation
The candidates can check below the reservation norms of the university from below:
- While taking admission the University shall follow the reservation policies of the state for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and PwD candidates. However, the reservation for reserved category candidates is applicable to the candidates who are the domicile of West Bengal state only.
Criteria to be treated as the domicile of West Bengal
The following candidates are treated as the domicile of West Bengal who belongs to following category:
- Resident in West Bengal who’s living for continuously 10 years, OR
- Candidates whose parents is/are the permanent residents of West Bengal having the permanent address within the State of West Bengal.
Domicile is not needed at the time of applying for entrance exam, but is checked at the time of admission to allot seat. The Domicile certificate to be produced at the time of counselling. If the certificate is found invalid then the candidates lose the opportunity to take admission under the reserved category.

The exam pattern of PUMDET 2020 and PUBDET 2020 is as follows:

Presidency University Admission 2020 Application Form Correction
Application form correction in the form of PUBDET 2020 and PUMDET 2020 opens for a limited period online at wbjeeb.nic.in. During this period candidates can make changes in all the fields, however, changes cannot be done in the below given fields:
- Name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Gender
- Date of birth
To make changes in the application form candidates have to access their login using their PUBDET 2020 or PUMDET 2020 application number and password.
Presidency University Admission 2020 Admit Card for PUBDET / PUMDET
The candidates who register for the entrance exam – PUBDET 2020 or PUMDET 2020, are issued admit card under their respective logins. The admit card is issued online only at wbjeeb.nic.in.
How to download admit card? The candidates have to go online on wbjeeb.nic.in and access their respective logins using application number and date of birth. Under their respective login the link to download PUB DET 2020 / PUMDET 2020 admit card is made available.
How to carry the admit card? To carry the admit card of PUBDET / PUMDET 2020, candidates have to download the digital copy and take its print on an A4 sized paper.
Duplicate admit card: Candidates have to keep their admit card safe even after the exam is over. However, after the exam if any candidates need a duplicate copy of the admit card they need to apply to the board and pay a fee of Rs. 500/-. The duplicate admit card can be requested until 60 days after the declaration of result of PUBDET 2020 / PUMDET 2020

Presidency University Admission 2020 Result
The board declares the result of the entrance exam online at wbjeeb.nic.in, based on which admission is offered at the University. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) releases separate results for PUBDET as well as PUMDET. To check Presidency University 2020 Result, the candidates need to login by entering their application number and password. The result is declared in the form of a rank card to the candidates.
The rank card of WBJEE 2020 has the scores of the candidates and the rank allotted to them.
Note: All candidates who get the rank card, might not get a rank in PUBDET 2020 / PUMDET 2020. The candidates who get rank via their rank card are only called for PUBDET 2020 / PUMDET 2020 counselling.
Also here are the following types of rank allocated to the candidates:
- General merit rank (GMR): This is a common rank that is given to the candidates without considering any category. The allocation of seats is based on GMR.
- Category merit rank: This rank is just for the reference of the candidates to tell in which rank they fall in their category, seats are not allocated as per this rank.
Tie-breaking for candidates getting same scores
To allocate ranks to the candidates who get the same scores in PUBDET 2020 / PUMDET 2020, the below given criteria is used:
- First, candidates with less negative marks are preferred.
- If a tie still exists, the same rank is awarded to them.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was constituted in the year 1962 by the Government of West Bengal. The Board conducts the common entrance examination for admission to various undergraduate courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture in the state of West Bengal.
