Is Goa B.Ed admission an entrance exam?
No. DHE Goa runs a common admission and counselling process for B.Ed seats, not a test of its own. Your rank in the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) decides your place on the merit list.
- Register for GU-ART with Goa University and take the test (Round I was held in March in 2026).
- Apply online to DHE Goa for B.Ed admission on the Samarth portal and enter your GU-ART details.
- Check the subject-wise provisional merit list and report any error in the grievance window.
- Check the final merit list and attend offline counselling on your slot.
Seats sit in three colleges and are filled subject by subject, so you compete only with applicants of your own teaching subject.

DHE Goa has not announced the 2027-29 schedule yet. In 2026 the final merit list came on 12 June and counselling ran in three rounds up to 10 July, so the 2027 dates below are expected months.

How to Apply for Goa B.Ed Admission 2027
You apply online only, on the DHE Goa Samarth admission portal. Do not send a hard copy to the DHE office. You need a GU-ART score or rank before you fill in the form.

Applications for Goa B.Ed 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open the Samarth admission portal and click New Registration with a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Verify the OTP within 15 minutes, then log in with the credentials you receive.
- Complete your profile, upload your photo, signature, ID proof and transfer certificate, then confirm and lock the profile.
- Select the B.Ed programme and college, choose your eligibility criteria and add your GU-ART details under Other Qualifications.
- Upload your graduation marksheet, preview the form and submit it.
- Use the same login to apply to other colleges with a fresh application, and watch the DHE website for merit lists.

Who can apply for Goa B.Ed Admission 2027?
You can apply if you hold a qualifying degree with the required marks and have taken GU-ART. These rules are from the 2026-28 prospectus; the 2027-29 prospectus will confirm them.
- Citizen of India.
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree of Goa University or an equivalent university with at least 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST and OBC).
- Or a master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities or Commerce, or a BE or B.Tech with Science and Mathematics specialisation, with 55% marks.
- At least one school subject offered for teacher training studied at graduation or postgraduation.
- Must have taken GU-ART of the admission year.
- General category: 10 years of residence in Goa (5 years if a parent or grandparent was born in Goa). Other routes exist for children of Goa natives and of government or private employees in Goa.
Graduates of universities other than Goa University must produce a Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Goa University within one week of admission.
What is the GU-ART pattern for B.Ed admission?
GU-ART is a single 100-mark objective paper. The pattern below is from the GU-ART 2026-27 notification.

How is the Goa B.Ed merit list prepared?
DHE prepares a separate merit list for each teaching subject, strictly in order of GU-ART rank. You apply for one subject, which must be a subject you studied at graduation or postgraduation.

- Ties on GU-ART rank go first to a candidate with a PG degree in the subject, then to a third-year major in it, then to higher percentage, and finally to the older candidate.
- Unfilled reserved seats in a subject move to the general category (not EWS seats).
- In 2026 the provisional list came on 8 June, grievances ran 8 to 11 June and the final list came on 12 June.
How does Goa B.Ed counselling work?
Counselling is offline and you must attend in person; seats go only to candidates present at the venue. In 2026 DHE held round 1 on 15 to 17 June at Farmagudi, round 2 on 30 June at SCERT Porvorim and round 3 on 10 July at DHE Porvorim.
Carry originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of these documents:
- Graduation marksheets and degree certificate (and PG marksheets, if any)
- Migration certificate, if applicable
- Transfer or leaving certificate
- Valid caste certificate for SC, ST or OBC claims
- Income certificate for EWS or fee concession
- Valid domicile or residence proof
- Disability certificate, if applicable
You pay the college fee online during the counselling session to confirm the seat. Vacant reserved seats are converted to general on the same day, and DHE publishes the seats left before each later round.
Which colleges, seats and fees are in Goa B.Ed admission?
Three colleges take part. DHE fills 295 seats in 2026-28, as 25 PES seats are management seats, plus supernumerary EWS seats.
