Gujarat D.El.Ed (PTC) Admission 2026-27 is the centralised admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education run by the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), Gujarat. There is no entrance test: seats are given on Class 12 merit through ptc.dpegujarat.in. Round 1 college allotment is due on 9 October 2026.

How to Apply for Gujarat D.El.Ed 2026-27
Applications for 2026-27 are closed. The main window ran from 24 June to 5 July 2026 and a second window for Divyang and other candidates ran from 5 to 11 August 2026. The form for 2027-28 is expected in June 2027 and will follow the same steps.

- Read the advertisement and rules on ptc.dpegujarat.in and check that you are eligible.
- Register as a new applicant, then log in with your user ID and password.
- Fill in personal details, category, Class 10 details and Class 12 (or Diploma or ITI) marks, including the number of attempts.
- Upload your photo (JPG, up to 5 MB), signature (JPG, up to 2 MB) and scanned documents, then submit the form.
- Print the submitted form and take it, with self-attested copies and all originals, to any acceptance centre (Swikar Kendra).
- Get the form verified, pay the form fee in cash at the centre and keep the verification form-cum-receipt. Only then is your application complete.

Who can apply for Gujarat D.El.Ed 2026-27?
You can apply if you have passed Class 12 in any stream with at least 50% marks, or 45% if you are SC, ST, SEBC or EWS, and are not older than 30 years on 1 July 2026.

How is the Gujarat D.El.Ed merit list prepared?
The merit list is based only on your percentage of total marks in Class 12 or its equivalent. Separate lists are made by stream, medium, boys and girls, Divyang candidates and the Dangi category.
- If you passed Class 12 in more than one attempt, the marks and total marks of all attempts are added to get your final percentage.
- Diploma (technical board) holders are ranked on the marks of their top 10 subjects; GTU diploma holders on the last two semesters.
- ITI holders are ranked on the final-year ITI marks plus the 100-mark GSHSEB Class 12 English exam.
- Diploma and ITI holders are counted in the General stream.
- Dangi candidates get priority on 50% of the seats at DIET Dang.

How does Gujarat D.El.Ed college allotment work?
Seats are allotted online in rounds, in merit order, against the college choices you saved on the portal. The seat matrix splits each college’s intake by stream, boys or girls and category.
- After the last choice-change window closes on 7 October 2026, no new choice filling is allowed for Round 2.
- If you do not confirm admission at the college allotted in Round 1, that college is not considered for you in Round 2.
- Self-financed institutes fill 15% of seats as management quota on their own, through newspaper advertisements, with forms taken from 20 to 24 October, fee paid by bank challan on 26 October and verification on 27 to 28 October 2026.

Is there an entrance exam for Gujarat PTC (D.El.Ed) admission?
No. Admission is purely on merit in Class 12 (or equivalent Diploma or ITI) marks. There is no entrance test, admit card or answer key.
Can I still apply for Gujarat D.El.Ed 2026-27?
No. Both 2026-27 application windows and the final chance to deposit forms in August 2026 have closed. The 2027-28 advertisement is expected in June 2027 on ptc.dpegujarat.in.
Can I take admission in Hindi or English medium?
Yes, if you studied in that medium in Class 10 or Class 12. Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and English medium seats are offered.
What is the maximum age for Gujarat D.El.Ed admission?
You must not be older than 30 years on 1 July of the admission year. SC, ST, SEBC and EWS candidates get 5 years of relaxation.
