IITE Admission 2027 is the 2027-28 intake of the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, Gandhinagar, Gujarat’s state university for teacher education. The 4-year ITEP admits students on their NCET score from NTA. PG programmes such as M.Ed. and B.Ed.-M.Ed. use IITE’s online i3T test or CUET-PG. Dates are not out; GCAS registration is expected in May 2027.

IITE Admission 2027 Important Dates
IITE has not announced any 2027 dates, so the table shows expected months based on 2026. In 2026, GCAS applications ran from 7 to 28 May, ITEP admission followed the NCET result in August, and a PG mop-up i3T was held on 16 September 2026.

How to apply for IITE Admission 2027?
You apply in one of two ways, depending on the programme. ITEP (B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed.) needs an NCET score and a separate application on the IITE portal. PG programmes need registration on the Gujarat GCAS portal plus i3T registration on iite.ac.in, or a CUET-PG score.
Apply Online for IITE 2027
Applications for IITE 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- ITEP: appear in NCET 2027 conducted by NTA in the right subjects, then apply on the IITE admission portal when the ITEP window opens. NCET alone does not give you a seat.
- PG: register and apply on the GCAS portal, then register for the i3T and pay the fee on iite.ac.in.
- Take the i3T online from your own place on the scheduled day. CUET-PG candidates with at least 50% can skip it, or take it to improve their merit.
- Check the merit list on iite.ac.in and your email for the counselling date.
- Report to the IITE campus in Gandhinagar with original documents for verification, and pay the first-semester fee to confirm your seat.
- PG students must also complete GCAS verification at a GCAS help centre before the university enrols them.

Who can apply for IITE Admission 2027?
Eligibility depends on the programme. The rules below are from IITE’s 2026 brochures; the 2027 brochures are not out yet.

PG candidates from SC, ST, OBC and PwD categories get 5% relaxation in the qualifying degree marks under Gujarat norms. For ITEP, relaxation for SC, ST and PwD follows Government of India rules.
What is the i3T 2027 exam pattern?
The i3T is a 120-mark online proctored test of 90 minutes, within a 120-minute session, with questions in Gujarati and English. You take it from your own place on a mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with an internet connection. It is held only for PG admission.

B.Ed.-level content means educational psychology, philosophy and sociology, general pedagogy, and assessment and evaluation. IITE gives no study material, so the IITE i3T question papers are the best guide to the question style.
How does ITEP admission at IITE work?
ITEP seats are filled only on the NCET score, so there is no i3T for these programmes. In 2026 IITE took ITEP applications from 1 to 10 August, put out a provisional merit list on 11 August and held counselling on 12 August 2026.
- IITE has 200 ITEP seats: 50 each in B.Sc. B.Ed. Middle Stage, B.Sc. B.Ed. Secondary Stage, B.A. B.Ed. Middle Stage and B.A. B.Ed. Secondary Stage.
- B.Sc. B.Ed. subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. B.A. B.Ed. subjects: English, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Hindi, Geography and History.
- Ties on the NCET score are broken by the Teaching Aptitude score, then the General Test score, then the Class 12 percentage.
- The medium of instruction is English.
How many PG seats does IITE have?
IITE’s Centre of Education had 230 seats in B.Ed.-M.Ed., M.Ed., M.Sc./M.A.-M.Ed. and M.A. in 2026, plus 30 seats in each of the four M.Sc. subjects. All PG programmes are taught in English.

90% of PG seats go to candidates whose qualifying degree is from an institution in Gujarat, and 10% to those from outside Gujarat or with a CUET-PG score. Gujarat-origin candidates get reservation: SC 7%, ST 15%, SEBC 27% and EWS 10%, with 5% of seats for persons with disabilities.
