The Rajasthan PTET 2027 syllabus has four sections of 50 questions each: Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude and Aptitude, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency in Hindi or English. The 2027 guidelines are not out yet, so this page follows the official PTET-2026 guidelines, which are expected to stay the same.

What is the PTET 2027 exam pattern and marking?
Each section has 50 questions worth 150 marks, for 200 questions and 600 marks in 3 hours. You get 3 marks for a correct answer and lose nothing for a wrong one.

Teaching Attitude questions have no single right answer. Each option carries 3, 2, 1 or 0 marks depending on how suitable it is for a teacher.
What is in the PTET Mental Ability syllabus?
Mental Ability checks how you reason with words, numbers and figures. The official areas are:
- Logical and analytical ability
- Similarities and differences
- Visual and spatial ability
- Concepts and relationships
- Numerical reasoning
- Decision making and problem solving
The 2023 paper included number series, odd-figure-out, ranking, clock and paper-folding questions, so practise these types.
What is in the PTET Teaching Attitude and Aptitude syllabus?
This section tests your attitude towards teaching through classroom and school situations. The official areas are:
- Social maturity
- Leadership
- Professional commitment
- Interpersonal relations
- Communication
- Awareness
What is in the PTET General Awareness syllabus?
General Awareness covers current events and static general knowledge, with a part on Rajasthan. The official areas are:
- Current affairs, national and international
- Indian history and culture
- India and its natural resources
- Great Indian personalities, past and present
- Environmental awareness
- Knowledge about Rajasthan
What is in the PTET Language Proficiency syllabus?
You answer the language section in either Hindi or English. Both versions test the same skills:
- Vocabulary
- Functional grammar
- Sentence structure
- Comprehension
Where can I get the official PTET syllabus PDF?
The syllabus is part of the PTET admission guidelines (pravesh disha-nirdeshika). The 2027 guidelines will come out with the notification on the new official website; until then the 2026 guidelines below are the latest.

How should I prepare for PTET 2027?
- Practise reasoning questions daily, timing yourself, because Mental Ability is pure speed and accuracy.
- For Teaching Attitude, read each situation as a teacher and pick the most student-friendly, responsible option.
- Read a newspaper daily and revise Rajasthan history, geography and culture for General Awareness.
- Choose the language you are strongest in and revise grammar rules and vocabulary in it.
- Solve Rajasthan PTET previous year papers in 3 hours to plan about 45 minutes per section.
