What is the TG PECET 2027 exam pattern?
TG PECET has no written paper. You take four physical efficiency events and one skill test in a sport you choose, each marked out of 100, so the total is 500. Marks for each event come from conversion tables set by the TG PECET committee.
| Event | Men | Women | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sprint | 100 m run | 100 m run | 100 |
| Middle distance | 800 m run | 400 m run | 100 |
| Shot put | 6 kg shot | 4 kg shot | 100 |
| Jump | Long jump or high jump | Long jump or high jump | 100 |
| Skill test | One sport of your choice | One sport of your choice | 100 |
| Total | 500 |
The skill test sports are ball badminton, basketball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho kho, shuttle badminton, lawn tennis and volleyball. The time and distance needed for each mark are in the official norms for physical efficiency tests (2026).
You need 30% of the total marks to get a rank. The 2026 booklet also gives incentive marks to meritorious sportspersons and NCC B and C certificate holders; see the TG PECET result page for how ranks work.
