All India Bar Examination 2018 popularly known as AIBE XII is conducted by the Bar Council of India to test the candidate’s knowledge. AIBE 2018 exam date was decided on June 10, 2018. Candidates who were willing to appear for the exam had to fulfill the eligibility criteria and then register themselves online. The paper was of objective type and only after the examination, the applicants who clear AIBE 2018 will be issued ‘Certificate of Practice’. AIBE 2018 is held to check the capability of an advocate to practice the law profession. Candidates who wish to take the exam needs to prove their knowledge and attain the minimum benchmark to start practising the law. The exam will be conducted in 40 cities across the country in 11 different languages. Thus making it easy for the applicants to attempt the questions in the paper for getting the certificate. AIBE 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling the application form, you must check the eligibility criteria as stated by BCI. For your assistance, we have provided detailed criteria that you must meet before applying for AIBE 2018 exam:
- It is necessary for you to complete LLB from a law school that has recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- There is no minimum percentage that is required in the qualifying exam in order to apply for AIBE 2018
- All the advocates who have obtained their Bachelor’s degree after July 01, 2011 and are enrolled as an advocate at State Bar Council are also eligible.
- You must have advocate enrollment card issued by the Bar Council of India.
AIBE 2018 Registration
In order to register for AIBE 2018, you need to visit the official website and then proceed with registration. Here the foremost step is to provide the enrollment number, state and year of enrollment. Once you are done with it a form appears on the screen. Now enter your personal, and educational details along with address, mail id and contact details. In the next step, you will be asked to select the category from which you belong and other important details. Now select your preference of exam centre where you wish to appear for AIBE 2018 exam and the language of question paper. Lastly, upload the documents as listed below:
Scanned copy of your passport size photograph,
Self-attested enrollment certificate, and
Photo identity proof
The specification of documents that are required to be uploaded must be as specified.
Now make use of AIBE login by entering your registration id and password that is sent to the mail id registered by you. Take a print out of bank challan and make the payment after 24 hours from the time you generated the challan. The application fee of AIBE 2018 has been provided here:

Finally, to complete AIBE 2018 registration upload the scanned copy of a bank challan that is provided to you after paying the fee. Moreover, you will be also asked to provide the details of bank challan. Take a print out of application form and keep it safe for future reference.
AIBE 2018 Admit Card
After the last date of registration, BCI released the Admit Card for the applicants to download. It is mandatory to have access to AIBE 2018 admit card because it will be required at the time of the exam. To download the admit card enter login credentials in AIBE 2018 login form. Thereafter, you have to go through admit card verification process. It is a mandatory step for all the candidates who want to download the admit card so that they are able to take AIBE 2018 exam on the date scheduled for it.
During the verification, you have to check the details and mark ‘Mismatch’ against the information if it is wrong. This is done in order to eliminate the chances of error. You must check the details carefully and ensure that all the information is correct as these details will be used for your ‘Certificate of Practice’ that is going to be provided if you clear the exam.
In case of an error, immediately get in touch with the BCI officials and get your details rectified. If the images you uploaded are blur, send the scanned copy of it to the BCI.
After the information is checked and found to be correct, click on ‘Complete’ and take a print out of it. Keep it safe as it will be required later. While appearing for the exam also carry one photo identity proof which should be the same as the one you uploaded while AIBE 2018 registration.

Tips for Candidates Appearing in AIBE 2018

Since there is no negative marking in the exam, you can try to attempt as many questions as possible. You will have sufficient time to answer the questions. First of all, you have to identify the easy questions in the exam and then start AIBE 2018 paper. Don’t spend much time on the questions that you have the slightest doubt. Proceed and mark your responses to the questions you are sure of. Thereafter, spend time on the remaining paper. In this manner, you will get sufficient time complete the paper well in time.
AIBE 2018 Answer Key
Once the exams are conducted properly, BCI is going to release the Answer Key on the official website. AIBE 2018 answer key is going to be made available set wise and you must know your question paper set before downloading it. The key is going to help you find the number of correct responses marked by you. Also, you will get an idea of marks you are going to get in AIBE 2018 result. However, if you find any objection in the answer key of AIBE 2018 exam, you can challenge it within the time frame provided for the same. If a claim is found to be valid, final answer key will be released just before the exam.
AIBE 2018 Result
To check your qualifying status you must check your result when announced. The result is going to let you know the qualifying status in the exam and you will also come to know that whether you’ll be able to practice or not. In order to download the result, you have to enter the credentials in AIBE login and then view it.
If you are not satisfied with your AIBE 2018 result, a form of rechecking could be filled by paying Rs. 200 in the form of DD in favour of Bar Council of India payable at New Delhi. The rechecking result will be announced within 7 days from the date of application received by BCI for the same. In case you want to check the paper, it could be done by booking a slot and visiting the office of the Bar Council of India.
You will receive ‘Certificate of Practice’ few days after the result announcement. By the time, you can start practising on the basis of AIBE 2018 result.
