  • Marks are rounded: 44.5%, 41.5% and 39.5% are treated as 45%, 42% and 40%.
  • Final-year students can apply, but must have passed with the required marks by counselling.
  • Degrees taken in one sitting without a basic qualification are not accepted, and candidates with only an ITI qualification cannot take the test.
  • The booklet sets no specific age limit; age rules in force at the time of admission apply.

AP LAWCET is a 90-minute computer-based test of 120 multiple-choice questions for 120 marks, with one mark per correct answer and no negative marking. The paper is in English and Telugu.

Which seats can you get through AP LAWCET?

AP LAWCET ranks are used to fill LL.B. seats in state universities, their departments and constituent colleges, and affiliated law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Admission is through separate web counselling run by APSCHE after the result.

  • Writing the test or getting a rank does not by itself give you a seat; you must also meet the eligibility rules at admission.
  • Your rank is valid only for admissions in that academic year.
  • The list of approved law colleges and seats is published after the result.
