Haryana ANM GNM Admission 2026-27 is the merit-based admission to ANM, GNM and MPHW(M) diploma courses in Haryana’s government and private nursing schools. There is no entrance exam. Pt. B.D. Sharma UHS, Rohtak runs combined online counselling on Class 12 marks under the State notification of 11 September 2026. The Round 1 schedule is awaited.

Is there an entrance exam for Haryana ANM GNM 2026-27?

No. Haryana fills ANM, GNM and MPHW(M) seats on merit in the qualifying exam (Class 12). You register online, appear in a merit list, lock your choice of courses and institutes, and get a seat through online allotment rounds.

The Medical Education and Research Department, Government of Haryana, notified the 2026-27 admission procedure on 11 September 2026. It authorises Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak to run the combined centralised online counselling for government and private schools. An Admission Committee headed by the UHSR Dean Academic Affairs supervises the process.

Haryana ANM GNM 2026-27 Important Dates

The Round 1 counselling schedule for 2026-27 has not been published yet. Last year UHSR issued the Round 1 notice on 18 October 2025, with registration from 18 to 23 October and allotment on 27 October 2025.

How to Apply for Haryana ANM GNM Admission 2026-27

You apply by registering online on the admission web portal named in the UHSR Round 1 notice. The State notification says the portal details and counselling schedule will be posted on haryananursescouncil.in, so check it and dmer.haryana.gov.in regularly. The steps below follow the 2025-26 Round 1 notice.

1. Open the UHSR public notice for Round 1 on the HN&NMC or DMER website and note the dates and the portal link.
2. Register on the admission web portal yourself. Fill in your name, father’s and mother’s name, date of birth, category, qualification, subjects, marks, address, mobile number and email carefully; no correction claim is accepted later.
3. Pay the non-refundable registration-cum-counselling fee online through Net Banking or UPI.
4. Check the merit list when it is displayed on the portal.
5. Fill and lock your preferences of course and institute within the choice-filling window. Locked choices are final.
6. Check the online allotment, get your original documents verified and join the allotted institute within the given dates, paying the fee directly to the institute.

Fresh registration is allowed again for Round 2 and the mop-up round, so you can still apply if you miss Round 1.

Who can apply for Haryana ANM GNM 2026-27?

You can apply if you are an Indian citizen, have passed 10+2 as required for your course and are 17 to 35 years old on 31 December 2026. State Quota seats are for bona fide residents of Haryana with a Haryana Residence Certificate; Management Quota seats in private schools are open to candidates from all over India.

• There is no upper age limit for ANM-qualified candidates applying for GNM.
• You must be medically fit. A fitness certificate from the Haryana Health Department is submitted to the school after admission.
• Reservation and age relaxation follow the Haryana reservation policy. EWS candidates need an income and assets certificate.

How is the Haryana ANM GNM 2026-27 merit list prepared?

The merit list is drawn on your marks in the qualifying exam (10+2). Candidates who studied science in Class 12 are considered first; others are considered only after the science list is exhausted.

• Ties are broken by higher Biology marks (for candidates with Biology), then higher aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, then older age, then alphabetical order.
• SC, SC (Deprived), BC-A, BC-B and PwBD candidates get a 5% relaxation in merit for GNM.
• Seats are allotted strictly by merit and the choices you locked on the portal.

How does Haryana ANM GNM counselling and seat allotment work?

Counselling runs in online rounds, each with registration, merit list, choice locking, allotment and joining.

1. Round 1: registration, merit list, choice filling, allotment, then document verification and admission at the institute.
2. Round 2: seats left vacant after Round 1 are filled by the same process. Fresh registration is allowed.
3. Mop-up and stray rounds: seats still vacant are filled strictly by merit until the last date of counselling.

If you take admission in any round, you cannot take part in later rounds. A seat allotted online gives no legal right until your documents are verified and you report in person with originals; if you miss the deadline, the seat is treated as vacant.

How many ANM and GNM seats are there in Haryana?

The HN&NMC list of nursing institutions for 2026-27 shows 114 institutes offering ANM or GNM, with an intake of 3,043 ANM seats and 5,270 GNM seats. The final category-wise seats are displayed on the admission portal before counselling starts.

Only institutes with a State NOC/LOP, HN&NMC affiliation and DMER permission for 2026-27 take part. Institutes given new seats after the last date of Round 3 registration are not included this session.

What is the ANM, GNM and MPHW(M) course fee in Haryana?

The 2026-27 notification fixes the fee for both government and private schools. You pay the fee every year directly to the institute by DD, RTGS or NEFT; institutes cannot ask for the whole-course fee in advance.

The government fee includes tuition (Rs 7,500), a refundable security (Rs 1,500) and hostel fee (Rs 1,500); the exam fee is charged at actual cost. Private ANM and GNM totals include a Rs 27,000 admission fee, tuition of Rs 30,000 a year and hostel fee of Rs 1,200 a month; mess and transport are charged separately. If you leave the course midway, you pay that session’s fee and are debarred from applying in the next academic year.

Which documents do you need for Haryana ANM GNM 2026-27 admission?

You must report with the original documents and self-attested photocopies; without them the allotted seat is cancelled.

To claim the Post Matric Scholarship, also keep your caste certificate, Aadhaar, bank account number with IFSC and Parivar Pehchan Patra (if applicable) for document verification.

What are the ANM, GNM and MPHW(M) courses?
