How to Apply for HPU B.Ed 2027
You apply online only, on the HPU admission portal, where one registration covers all HPU entrance forms. In 2026 the form was open from 4 April to 11 May, with corrections on 12 and 13 May.
Apply Online for HPU B.Ed 2027
Applications for HPU B.Ed 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open the HPU admission portal and click Apply For New Admission, then Click Here to New Registration.
- Register with your name, parents’ names, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar number, Himachal bonafide status, address, mobile number and email ID, and create a password of at least 8 characters with a letter, a digit and a special character.
- Upload your photo, signature and Class 10 mark sheet (and the bonafide Himachal certificate if you selected Yes).
- Log in with your email or mobile number, password and captcha, open Admission Open and apply for the B.Ed. Entrance Test.
- Fill in personal details, the questionnaire and education details, upload the documents asked for, and check the form preview.
- Pay the fee online through the HDFC or UCO gateway (debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI) and print the form from Applied Form Status.

Use the Forgot Password link on the portal’s login page if you lose your password; a reset link is sent to your registered email ID.
Who can apply for HPU B.Ed 2027?
You need a bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates); these are the 2026 rules and are expected to continue.
- A bachelor’s degree in Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce or Arts streams, or a master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities or Commerce, with 50% or CGPA 5.01 (Grade B).
- BE or BTech with specialisation in Science and Mathematics needs 55% or CGPA 5.51 (Grade B+); SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates need 50%.
- There is no relaxation below these marks, not even 0.01%.
- Final-year students can apply provisionally.
- There is no upper age limit.
- 85% of seats are for Himachal Pradesh bonafide candidates and 15% are open to all; 10% of state-quota seats in private colleges are management quota, also filled on entrance merit.
What is the HPU B.Ed 2027 exam pattern?
HPU B.Ed is one offline paper of 150 one-mark multiple-choice questions in 2 hours, at graduation level, with no negative marking. The five sections are below (official syllabus from session 2026-27).

Which colleges admit students through HPU B.Ed?
The test fills B.Ed. seats at HPU’s own Department of Education, the Government College of Teacher Education (GCTE) Dharamshala and the self-financing colleges of education affiliated to HPU.
