What is the HPU B.Ed 2027 syllabus?
The HPU B.Ed syllabus has five sections, and two of them, Language and Comprehension and Teaching Aptitude and Attitude, carry 40 marks each.

What topics are in the General Awareness section?
General Awareness is the only section for which the official PDF lists topics, and it focuses mainly on Himachal Pradesh.
- Himachal Pradesh: geography, literacy, famous historical places, fairs and festivals, history, social life and customs, art and architecture, demography, transportation, communication and economy.
- India: geography (important facts), education, population, famous historical places, fairs and festivals, freedom struggle (important facts) and the Constitution of India (important facts).
What should you revise for the other four sections?
The official PDF gives only the section names and marks for the other four sections, so use the section titles and past papers as your guide. The areas below are what these sections usually test.

How is the HPU B.Ed paper marked?
Each correct answer gets 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for a wrong or blank answer. The paper is 2 hours long and is answered on an OMR sheet. Ties in the merit list are broken by section scores, starting with Teaching Aptitude and Attitude.

How should you prepare for HPU B.Ed 2027?
- Give the most time to Teaching Aptitude and Attitude and to Language and Comprehension, which together carry 80 of the 150 marks.
- Read Himachal Pradesh general knowledge closely, since the General Awareness section is mainly about the state.
- Revise both Hindi and English grammar, because each language has 20 questions.
- Answer every question, as there is no negative marking.
