Jharkhand B.Ed 2026 — Overview

What is it? Jharkhand B.Ed is the state-level entrance examination conducted by JCECEB for admission to the 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. Furthermore, the test grants entry to Government, Govt Aided, Unaided, Self Financed, and Private B.Ed Colleges in Jharkhand. Subsequently, JCECEB prepares a merit list based on scores in the offline OMR-based test. Therefore, qualified candidates can participate in counselling for seat allotment. Application Form

The application form was available from 25 February 2026 to 07 April 2026 on bedcet.jceceb.org.in. Subsequently, JCECEB opened the correction window on 08 and 09 April 2026 for applicants to edit their submitted details. Additionally, candidates could verify uploaded documents and signatures during this window. Therefore, only candidates who completed the application process will be eligible to download the admit card and appear for the entrance test. Furthermore, JCECEB will not entertain late submissions or fresh registrations after the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Furthermore, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities, or Commerce with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • Engineering Graduates: Additionally, B.E. or B.Tech in Science and Mathematics is accepted with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
  • Subject Requirement: Moreover, candidates need a minimum 50% marks in the chosen teaching subject during the qualifying degree.
  • Final Year Students: Subsequently, candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying examination can also apply provisionally.

Exam Pattern

JCECEB conducts the test in offline OMR-based mode. Furthermore, it consists of 100 multiple-choice questions across four sections, with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
