How to Apply for Jharkhand B.Ed 2027
You apply online only, through the “Online Form” link for the B.Ed/M.Ed/B.P.Ed entrance on the JCECEB website, once the 2027 advertisement is out. In 2026 the form was open from 25 February to 7 April 2026, after one extension.
Apply Online for Jharkhand B.Ed 2027
Applications for Jharkhand B.Ed 2027 are expected in February 2027.
- Open the JCECEB website and click the online form link for the B.Ed/M.Ed/B.P.Ed Combined Entrance Competitive Examination.
- Register with your details and log in to the application form.
- Upload a recent colour passport-size photo (white background, both ears visible, not edited), your signature and your left thumb impression.
- Upload the required certificates as one PDF file (list below).
- Pay the exam fee online by credit card, debit card or net banking.
- Print the confirmation page and keep it safe. Use the correction window, if needed, before it closes.

The fee is non-refundable, and bank charges are extra. SC, ST, BC and women candidates from outside Jharkhand pay the General fee.

Who can apply for Jharkhand B.Ed 2027?
You can apply if you have at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC, PwD and other reserved categories) in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities or Commerce. B.E. or B.Tech graduates with Science and Mathematics specialisation need 55% (50% for reserved categories). These are the 2026 rules.
- For M.Ed, the minimum qualification is a B.Ed degree.
- You choose one teaching subject that you studied in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for at least 200 marks, with at least 50% marks in it.
- There is no limit on the year you passed your degree.
- Final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s students can apply, but must show the final result with the required marks at admission.
What is the Jharkhand B.Ed 2027 exam pattern?
The exam is one offline, OMR-based paper of 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark, with 0.25 mark deducted for every wrong answer. The same paper is used for B.Ed, M.Ed and B.P.Ed admission.

How are Jharkhand B.Ed seats and merit decided?
Merit is based only on your marks in the entrance exam, and seats are filled through online counselling by JCECEB. Of the total seats, 85% are reserved for candidates who passed from universities in Jharkhand and 15% are open to all.
- Reservation follows the current Jharkhand government policy; upload the right certificate to claim it.
- Ties are broken in this order: NCC ‘C’ or NSS certificate holders, then the older candidate, then the first name in Hindi alphabetical order, then more correct answers.
- In 2026 counselling ran in four rounds from July to September, plus a special round in October 2026.
- The counselling fee in 2026 was Rs 400 (General, EWS, BC-I, BC-II) and Rs 250 (SC, ST and all women).
