How to Apply for JIPMER MSc Nursing 2027
You apply online only, through the application link JIPMER posts on jipmer.edu.in when registration opens, expected in June 2027. MSc Nursing shares one common application and entrance exam with JIPMER’s MPH, PBD, PGD and PGF courses, and you can apply for only one course. The steps below follow the 2026 prospectus.
Apply Online for JIPMER MSc Nursing 2027
Applications for JIPMER MSc Nursing 2027 are expected in June 2027.
- Open jipmer.edu.in and click the application link for MSc/MPH/PBD/PGD/PGF courses once 2027 registration opens.
- Register with your full name exactly as it appears on your government photo ID and your B.Sc Nursing degree certificate.
- Select MSc Nursing, fill in your details and choose up to three exam cities in order of preference.
- Upload a recent colour photo (30 x 45 mm, 20 to 80 KB) taken while holding a placard with your name and the date, your signature (80 x 35 mm, 20 to 80 KB) and, if applicable, your category or disability certificate (up to 800 KB).
- Pay the application fee online and click Submit.
- Download a copy of the filled-in application. You do not need to send a hard copy to JIPMER.

Who can apply for JIPMER MSc Nursing 2027?
You can apply if you hold a B.Sc Nursing degree, are registered as a nurse and midwife, and have at least one year of nursing work experience. These are the 2026 rules, where the cut-off date for degree and experience was 31 July 2026.
- B.Sc Nursing from JIPMER or any university accepted as equivalent.
- Registration with a State Nursing and Midwifery Registration Council.
- At least one year of experience in a hospital, a college or school of nursing, or a community health programme after B.Sc Nursing and registration. Post Basic B.Sc Nursing holders need one year of work experience before or after that course.
- Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from IGNOU is not accepted for MSc Nursing at JIPMER.
- Male candidates must have passed an Indian Nursing Council recommended course in place of midwifery. Only candidates who studied midwifery can take Community Health Nursing or Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing.
- You must be medically fit. OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PwD candidates need certificates in the prospectus formats.
