LSAT India 2027 will not be held. The Law School Admission Council, USA (LSAC), which ran LSAT India through Pearson VUE, stopped offering the test after the 2024 cycle of January and May 2024. Colleges that used it now admit through other routes: Jindal Global Law School uses LNAT-UK, and UPES uses ULSAT, CLAT or CUET-UG.

Is LSAT India 2027 being held?
No. A notice on the official LSAT India website, in place by 3 December 2024, said LSAC will no longer offer the LSAT India entrance exam. The official FAQ says only that LSAC made a business decision to stop offering it.
The last tests were LSAT India 2024, held online in January and May 2024. There was no exam in 2025 or 2026, and there is no registration, admit card or result for 2027. Asked whether Pearson VUE will offer another law admission test in India, the FAQ answers: not as of now.
Which law schools used LSAT India, and what do they use now?
LSAT India scores were accepted by a group called the LSAT India Associated Law Colleges. The archived list from January 2025 names 19 institutions, among them Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), UPES, Alliance University, BITS Law School, Shiv Nadar School of Law, VIT School of Law and Manipal University Jaipur.

JGLS was the best-known user of LSAT India; the old LSAT India home page said JGLS admitted students on merit in the exam. Its move to LNAT-UK was first reported by news sites and is now stated on the JGLS admission website.
Which law entrance exams can you take for 2027 admission instead?
Pick the test named by the law school you want; there is no single replacement for LSAT India. These are the main options for 2027-28 admission.

What did the LSAT India exam test?
LSAT India was developed by LSAC for law colleges in India. According to its official site, it tested high-level reading, informal reasoning and deductive reasoning, which are skills used in law school and legal practice.
- Mode in 2024: online, with remote proctoring that used AI-assisted technology.
- Sessions: offered twice a year; in 2024 these were January and May.
- Scores were accepted by law colleges across India from the exam’s start in 2009 until it was discontinued.
There is no LSAT India syllabus or pattern for 2027. Practice in reading and logical reasoning still helps for CLAT, AILET and LNAT-UK, but follow the syllabus of the test you are taking.
Can you still use an old LSAT India score?
Only if a college agrees to accept it. The official FAQ says scores from 2019 onward were valid for five years, but it advises you to ask each law college whether it accepts scores from earlier years.
- Neither Pearson VUE nor LSAC keeps candidate result records, so no copy of an old scorecard can be issued.
- Scorecards were never sent by any other method; candidates were told to download and keep their own copy when scores were released.
- Raw data for 2020 to 2024 is kept as a backup for internal use only.
