What is the MAH B.P.Ed CET 2027 syllabus?
The online CET syllabus has three sections. The 2027 brochure is not out yet, so the topics below are from the 2026 brochure, which matches the 2025 syllabus.
| Section | Questions and marks | Topics |
|---|---|---|
| General Knowledge | 15 questions, 15 marks | General science and technology, general history and geography of India, civics and political science (India), literature, current affairs at national level |
| Mental Ability | 15 questions, 15 marks | Logical diagrams, directional sense, relationship, coding and decoding, number system |
| Teacher Aptitude and Sports Related Knowledge | 20 questions, 20 marks | Professional commitment, communication, sports awards (central and state government), Olympic Games, current affairs on sports and games |
How is the MAH B.P.Ed CET online test marked?
Every question is a multiple-choice question with four options and one correct answer, worth 1 mark. There is no negative marking, and the 60-minute paper is offered in English, Marathi and Hindi. State CET Cell converts raw scores into percentile scores, calculated to seven decimal places to reduce ties.
What is in the MAH B.P.Ed Field Test?
The Field Test is an offline Physical Efficiency Test worth 50 marks, and only candidates who took the online CET can appear for it. Each of the five events is marked from 1 to 10 against a ready reckoner in the brochure.
| Event | Marks | What is recorded |
|---|---|---|
| 4 x 10 m shuttle run | 10 | Time in seconds |
| Sit and reach | 10 | Reach in centimetres |
| Standing broad jump | 10 | Distance in metres |
| Sit-ups | 10 | Correct sit-ups in 60 seconds |
| Medicine ball throw (2 kg men, 1 kg women) | 10 | Longest of two throws, in metres |
What do you need for full marks in each Field Test event?
The table shows the 10-mark standard for each event in the 2026 brochure. Lower performances score from 9 down to 1 mark.
| Event | Men (10 marks) | Women (10 marks) |
|---|---|---|
| 4 x 10 m shuttle run | Under 9.91 seconds | Under 11.00 seconds |
| Sit and reach | Above 15 cm | Above 20 cm |
| Standing broad jump | Above 2.30 m | Above 1.80 m |
| Sit-ups (1 minute) | Above 35 | Above 30 |
| Medicine ball throw | Above 10 m (2 kg ball) | Above 10 m (1 kg ball) |
For example, a man who runs the shuttle in 10.11 to 10.40 seconds scores 8 marks, and one slower than 13.20 seconds scores 1 mark.
