How is the Maharashtra D.El.Ed merit list prepared?

The merit list ranks you by your Class 12 percentage, plus any extra marks for sports, drawing or music. Separate lists are made for each medium and stream, and seats are then given by category and by your college preferences.

CategorySeats reserved (2026-27)
SC13%
ST7%
VJ-A3%
NT-B2.5%
NT-C3.5%
NT-D2%
SBC2%
OBC19%

SEBC10%

There is also 30% reservation for women and 5% for persons with disabilities. Vacant reserved seats pass to the next category in a fixed order and finally to the Open category.

What to Do After You Get a Seat

You must report to the allotted college within the joining dates, which was about four to five days per round in 2026. Take a demand draft for one year’s fee in the principal’s name and all your original documents.

  • Class 12 and Class 10 marksheets (originals).
  • School leaving certificate.
  • Domicile certificate, if you passed Class 12 from CBSE, ICSE, NIOS or another state board.
  • Caste, caste validity, non-creamy layer or EWS certificate, if you claim reservation.
  • Certificates for extra marks or special reservation, if claimed.

The principal checks your originals and admits you online. Make sure your status shows “Admitted” in your login, otherwise the admission is not counted. See the Maharashtra D.El.Ed admission 2027 page for fees and eligibility.

How do later rounds and special rounds work?

Before rounds 2 and 3 you can change your college preferences. If you do not change them, the old list is used. If you get your first preference college and do not join it, you are dropped from later rounds.

Betterment works only upward. If you join a lower preference, you can still be moved to a higher preference college in the next round. After the regular rounds, vacant government-quota seats were filled in special rounds in July 2026.
