How are students selected after the NIMHANS B.Sc entrance test?
Selection is purely on merit in the entrance test; there is no interview. NIMHANS prepares course-wise and category-wise merit lists, with a separate list for Karnataka domicile seats, and posts the list of candidates called for admission on its website.
- Ties are broken by fewer attempts in the qualifying exam, then higher Class 12 marks, then fewer negative marks in the test, then age.
- Selected candidates must report on the admission day with original certificates and pay the fee online; a candidate who does not report loses the seat to the waiting list.
- Fees once paid are not refunded.
