Is the SLBSRSV entrance exam held in 2027?
No. The university’s own entrance tests, the Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (SSET), the Shiksha Acharya Entrance Test (SAET) and the Vidya-Varidhi test, were last held in 2022, with the SSET/SAET result declared on 15 July 2022. From 2023, B.Ed admission has gone through NTA’s CUET (PG), and the university now fills its regular courses through CUET (UG) and CUET (PG).
The university has also been renamed. Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (SLBSRSV) is now Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University (SLBSNSU), a central university, but its website is still slbsrsv.ac.in.

No 2027-28 dates have been announced; the table shows the expected CUET 2027 dates and the university’s expected windows, based on 2026, when Samarth registration ran in July and the Ph.D. notice came on 1 September.

How to Apply for SLBSRSV Admission 2027
You apply in two steps: first for CUET (UG) or CUET (PG) 2027 with NTA, then to the university on its Samarth portal once it opens registration, which is expected in July 2027. A CUET score alone does not get you a seat; in 2026 the university’s own registration window was extended to 9 to 12 July.
Apply Online for SLBSRSV 2027
Applications for SLBSRSV 2027 are expected in December 2026.
- Read the university’s prospectus to check the course, its eligibility and the CUET subject it accepts.
- Register for CUET (UG) 2027 or CUET (PG) 2027 on NTA’s website and appear in the matching test paper.
- When the university’s registration notice is out, register on its Samarth portal: the UG portal for Shastri and BA Yoga, the PG portal for Acharya, MA and B.Ed.
- Enter your CUET application number and scores, upload documents and pay the registration fee online.
- Watch slbsrsv.ac.in for merit lists, then attend counselling and pay the course fee within the deadline.
- For Ph.D., apply on the Ph.D. admission portal against the Vidya-Varidhi notice with your UGC-NET result.

Who can apply for SLBSRSV admission 2027?
Eligibility depends on the course. These are the rules in the 2026-27 notices; check the 2027-28 prospectus for changes.
- Acharya: Shastri, BA or an equivalent degree with the subject studied through Sanskrit medium, plus a CUET (PG) score.
- Vidya-Varidhi (Ph.D.): a master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwD), and UGC-NET qualified with JRF, NET or Ph.D.-only status. For 2026-27, NET results from June 2025 to June 2026 were accepted.
- Shastri, BA Yoga, Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed) and other courses: as listed in the prospectus, plus a CUET (UG) or CUET (PG) score as required.
How does SLBSNSU select students now?
By CUET merit for Shastri, Acharya and B.Ed, and by UGC-NET plus interview for Ph.D. The admission committee prepares merit lists from CUET (UG) or CUET (PG) scores, and selected candidates attend counselling with their original documents before paying the fee.
B.Ed seats go in several lists. In 2026 the fourth Shiksha Shastri list and waiting list came out on 2 September, with online counselling on 7 September and fee payment from 7 to 9 September. Waiting-list candidates are admitted only if seats are vacant.

Ph.D. seats depend on supervisor capacity under UGC rules: a Professor can guide 8 scholars, an Associate Professor 6 and an Assistant Professor 4, so vacancies differ by department.
Where can you find previous papers for SLBSRSV admission?
In the CUET (PG) Shiksha Shastri paper, because that is the test B.Ed applicants now take. Old SSET, SAET and Vidya-Varidhi papers are not published on the university’s website. You can download CUET PG Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed) papers for 2022 to 2026, and practise on the free CUET PG mock test.
