What is the expected TG EdCET 2027 cut off?
No college-wise closing ranks are published, so the cut off that counts is the qualifying mark for getting a rank. These are the 2026 figures (2026, official information booklet), expected to continue in 2027.
| Category | Qualifying marks (out of 150) |
|---|---|
| OC, BC and all others except SC and ST | 38 (25%) |
| SC and ST | No minimum for a rank |
| SC and ST claiming an NCC, sports, PH or armed forces children quota seat | 38 (25%) |
Beyond this, admission depends on your rank, methodology, category and local status at counselling. In 2026, 29,342 of the 35,600 applicants took the test (Deccan Chronicle).
How are TG EdCET ranks decided?
Ranks follow total marks. If two candidates have the same total, the tie is broken in this order:
- Marks in subject content (Section 1)
- Marks in Teaching Aptitude
- Marks in General English
- Marks in General Knowledge and Educational Issues
- Marks in Computer Awareness
- If still tied, the candidates share a bracketed rank, and the older candidate gets priority at admission.
