The TG EdCET 2027 syllabus has five parts: Class 10 level subject content (Maths, Science, Social Studies) from the Telangana curriculum, Teaching Aptitude, General English, General Knowledge and Educational Issues, and Computer Awareness, for 150 marks. The 2027 syllabus is not out yet; the 2026 syllabus below is expected to continue.

What is the TG EdCET 2027 syllabus?
The syllabus tests school-level subject knowledge plus the skills a teacher needs, in five sections. Each question carries one mark.

Section 1: Subject Content Topics (Class 10 Level)
Section 1 follows the Telangana state school curriculum up to Class 10.

Section 2: Teaching Aptitude Topics
Teaching Aptitude checks whether you understand how teaching and learning work and how a classroom is run.

Section 3: General English Topics

- Tenses and subject-verb agreement

Section 4: General Knowledge and Educational Issues Topics
This 30-mark section covers current affairs and today’s school education issues.
- Current affairs, India and international
- India and its neighbours: history, culture, geography, ecology, economics, policy, scientific research, national security
- NEP 2020, quality and governance in school education, equitable and inclusive education
- SSA, RTE, PARAKH, the Indian knowledge system, digital empowerment and PM Gati Shakti
Section 5: Computer Awareness Topics
- Computer components, memory, input and output devices
- Programming languages and operating systems
- Relational and non-relational databases, keys in DBMS
- MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint basics
- Internet, search engines and email
- Viruses and protection; applications of AI and machine learning

How to Prepare for the TG EdCET 2027 Syllabus
- Revise Telangana state Class 8 to 10 textbooks for Maths, Science and Social Studies; this part carries 60 marks.
- Solve past papers on the TG EdCET question papers page; they mark the correct answer for every question.
- Read a daily newspaper and follow education news such as NEP 2020 for the 30-mark GK section.
- Practise basic computer and MS Office questions, which are quick marks.
- Take timed mock tests: 150 questions in 120 minutes leaves under a minute per question.
TG EdCET Syllabus 2027 FAQs
Is the TG EdCET syllabus the same for all methodologies?
Yes. Everyone writes the same paper on the same syllabus. Your methodology is decided at counselling based on your degree subjects.
What level of maths is asked in TG EdCET?
Maths questions are set up to Class 10 of the Telangana state curriculum. There are 20 maths questions.
Is computer awareness part of TG EdCET?
Yes. Computer Awareness is a separate section of 20 questions, covering computer basics, MS Office, the internet, databases and AI basics.
In which language is the TG EdCET paper?
The question paper is in English with Telugu, or English with Urdu.
