How is TS ECET 2020 Result Calculated?
The results for TS ECET 2020 will be prepared purely on the basis of the candidates’ scores in the entrance exam. It is published in the form of rank cards on the website of the exam. You can check the same from the link of official website on this page. JNTUH authorities prepare TS ECET 2020 result in accordance with the final answer key released. Following marking scheme is followed to calculate result and assign ranking to the candidates:
- 1 mark is added for each correct answer
- For incorrect answer, no deduction of marks is made

TS ECET 2020 Qualifying Marks

Tie Breaking Criteria for TS ECET 2020 Result
2 or more candidates might have same scores in the entrance exam. In such a case, a tie-breaker is employed. Separate tie-breakers are specified for engineering, pharmacy and B.Sc programmes. You can read about it in detail below.
Engineering: Priority is given in this order:
- Firstly, marks in engineering subject in the entrance exam will be considered. If tie is still unresolved, move to the next step.
- The candidates’ marks in Mathematics will be taken into consideration. The candidate with higher maths score in TS ECET 2020 will be ranked higher.
- If there is still a tie, candidates’ marks in Physics are compared. Candidate with higher physics score will get higher rank.
- The last resort is comparison of the age of the candidates. However, this is done at the time of admission. Candidates having a tie even after above 3 comparisons are bracketed together while ranking. Older candidate will get seat preference at the time of admission.
Pharmacy: For B.Pharmacy aspirants, percentage of marks in the qualifying degree is considered for resolving tie cases. If tie still persists, age of the candidates is considered at the time of admission.
B.Sc. Mathematics: Priority is given in the following order:
- Firstly, candidates’ scores in the mathematics section of the entrance exam are compared. Higher marks in maths means a higher ranking.
- In case of further tie, aggregate marks in the qualifying examination are considered.

TS ECET 2020 Counselling
Only the qualified candidates, who have been issued TS ECET 2020 rank card, are eligible for counselling. They will get notified in due course of time about the schedule and venue of document verification and succeeding counselling events. You are advised to keep checking this page time to time for updates.
The counselling process consists of documents verification, followed by exercising options for desired colleges. Only the candidates whose documents have been approved and declared valid by helpline center authorities can apply for seats. Post application, the allotment of college will be notified to the candidates by a provisional allotment letter. One needs to download it and report to the allotted institute on allotted day and time.
About TS ECET 2020
Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test 2020 will be conducted in computer based mode at the designated test centres across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) conducts the exam for admission to B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharmacy courses in state colleges. The exam consists of total 200 questions, each of 1 mark and lasts for a total of 180 minutes,i.e, 3 hours. The question paper for the exam is in English only.
