Who can apply for BFA and B.Des at Dr YSRAFU 2027?
You can apply if you have passed 10+2 in any group, as the 2025-26 prospectus allows.

- 10+3, that is a 3-year diploma, or an equivalent course.
- At least 35% marks in the qualifying exam.
The same rule applies to the BFA and B.Des courses. Teaching and the university exams are in English only, so you write all exams after admission in English.
How are BFA and B.Des seats allotted without ADCET?
Seats are allotted on your merit in the qualifying exam and your course preferences, at counselling held at the university.
| Rule | Detail (2025-26 prospectus) |
|---|---|
| Merit basis | Marks in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) |
| Tie-break | Date of birth; the older candidate ranks higher |
| Course allotment | Your first choice if seats remain at your turn, otherwise your 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice |
| Counselling | In person at Dr YSRAFU, Kadapa, with original certificates |
| Walk-ins (2025-26) | Allowed for candidates who had not applied, with all original certificates |
| Seat cancellation refund | 90% before phase 1 ends, 80% before phase 2 ends, none after |
Admission is provisional until your certificates are verified, and the university can choose not to run a course if too few students join it.
