Andhra Pradesh ITI Admission 2027 is the online, merit-based admission to trades in the Government and Private ITIs of Andhra Pradesh, run by the Directorate of Skill Development, Employment and Training (DSET). There is no entrance exam: seats go by Class 10 or Class 8 marks. Registration is expected to open around May 2027.

Is there an entrance exam for AP ITI admission 2027?
No. Seats in the Government and Private ITIs of Andhra Pradesh are filled on merit, using the marks or grade points of your qualifying exam: Class 10 (SSC) or Class 8, depending on the trade. Reservation rules of the Government of Andhra Pradesh apply.
Only candidates whose certificates are verified at an ITI enter the merit list. Counselling is then held separately for Government ITIs and for Private ITIs, and the whole cycle is repeated in phases until the seats are filled.

The 2027 schedule has not been announced yet. In 2026 the notification came on 17 May 2026 and Phase 1 registration was open by 20 May 2026, so the 2027 registration is expected to open around May 2027.

How to Apply for AP ITI Admission 2027
You apply online only, on the AP ITI Admissions portal itiadmissions.ap.gov.in/iti, once registration for a phase opens. The portal has two steps: Student Registration, which gives you a Registration ID, and Application to apply for ITI. If you are not yet registered, both steps are compulsory.
Apply Online for AP ITI 2027
Applications for AP ITI 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Open the official portal and choose Student Registration (Registration Only) under Student Area.
- Select your SSC or Class 8 board, enter your hall ticket number and year of passing, choose the result type (GPA or Marks), type the captcha and complete the form.
- Note the Registration ID the portal generates. You need it for every later step.
- Choose Application to apply for ITI, log in with your Registration ID and select the ITIs and trades you want. Check every detail before you submit, and keep a printout.
- Take your original certificates to an ITI for verification within the dates of your phase. Your verification status is updated on the portal.
- Attend counselling on the date given for Government ITIs or for Private ITIs, and report to the ITI you are allotted.
To correct your details, use Edit Registration with your SSC hall ticket number, date of birth and Registration ID. If you lose your Registration ID, use Forgot Registration ID and enter your SSC hall ticket number, date of birth and the captcha.
The portal does not show an application fee, and no official fee notice could be verified. Check the 2027 notification on the portal before you apply.
How do the AP ITI merit list and counselling work?
The merit list is prepared phase by phase from verified candidates, ranked on qualifying-exam marks with reservation. AP does not run fixed 1st, 2nd and 3rd merit lists; each phase has its own registration, certificate verification, merit list and counselling.
In Phase 2 of 2026, for example, registration closed on 10 August 2026, certificates were verified and the merit list drawn up on 11 August, Government ITI counselling was held on 12 August and Private ITI counselling on 14 August 2026. By October 2026 the process had reached Phase 7.
- Seats are allotted by merit rank, category, the ITIs and trades you chose and the seats still vacant.
- Later phases open fresh registration while seats remain, as Phase 7 did in October 2026.
- Andhra Pradesh does not publish trade-wise closing ranks or cut-off marks, so there is no official cut off to compare against.
Who can apply for AP ITI admission 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Class 10 (SSC) or Class 8, depending on the qualification your trade needs, and are at least 14 years old on the date of the notification. There is no upper age limit for ITI admission.
The registration form accepts results of the Andhra Pradesh State Board (SSC), AP Open School, CBSE, ICSE and other state boards. Keep these documents ready for certificate verification:
- Class 8 or Class 10 marks memo or certificate
- Transfer certificate and study certificates
- Caste certificate and income certificate, if you claim reservation
- Aadhaar or another identity proof
- Your Registration ID and application printout
