Is ACPC an entrance exam?

No. ACPC is an admission committee, not a test. It registers candidates, prepares merit lists from exams held by other bodies, and allots seats in Gujarat’s Government, grant-in-aid (GIA) and self-financed institutes through online rounds.

Each course has its own registration, merit list and schedule. The admission basis used in 2026-27 is below.

CourseAdmission basis (2026-27)
BE / BTech50% Class 12 theory percentile (PCM, or PCB for eligible branches) + 50% GUJCET percentile; JEE Main All India Rank for 5% of Govt and GIA seats
Degree / diploma pharmacy50% Class 12 theory percentile + 50% GUJCET percentile; NEET or JEE Main rank for 5% of Govt and GIA seats
B.Arch50% of board or diploma aggregate + 50% of NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 percentile
Diploma to Degree (D2D)DDCET, a test that ACPC itself conducts; see the separate ACPC D2D page
ME / MTech, MPharm, M.PlanGATE score or PGCET, a test that ACPC conducts
MBA / MCA, M.Arch, B.Plan, BID / BCTSeparate ACPC merit lists under each course’s rules

For engineering and pharmacy, GUJCET is the key exam. See GUJCET 2027 for its dates and pattern. Diploma holders joining the second year of BE or B.Pharm should follow ACPC D2D admission, which is a separate process.

Who can apply through ACPC 2027?

You can apply if you meet the rules of the course you choose. These points are from ACPC’s 2026-27 admission notices; the 2027-28 notices will confirm them.

  • BE/BTech: Class 12 (Science) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the subjects prescribed by AICTE.
  • Engineering state seats (95% of Govt and GIA seats, 50% of unaided seats): you must have studied in a school in Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET of the same year.
  • Engineering All India seats (5% of Govt and GIA seats): Class 12 from any valid board in India and a JEE Main score of that year.
  • Pharmacy: Class 12 Science (A or B group) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology and English, as notified by PCI; GUJCET for state seats, NEET or JEE Main for the 5% All India seats.

ACPC lists eligible Class 12 subject combinations branch by branch (PCM, PCB, PMCo, PCCo and CCoB/M merit groups) on its BE/BTech page.

How is the ACPC 2027 merit list prepared?

For engineering and pharmacy state seats, ACPC adds 50% of your Class 12 theory percentile in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or Biology) to 50% of your GUJCET percentile in the same subjects. The total decides your merit number.

  • ACPC first publishes a provisional merit list, then a final merit list after candidate queries are resolved.
  • All India seats use a separate merit based on the JEE Main (or NEET for pharmacy) All India Rank.
  • Your merit number appears under Rank Details in your candidate profile on the portal.
  • If you improve your Class 12 result, ACPC publishes a revised merit list later in the process (10 July 2026 last year).

How does ACPC seat allotment work?

Seats are allotted online on your merit number and the order of your choices. ACPC advises filling as many choices as you can.

  1. Mock round: fill choices and see a trial allotment. It helps you reorder or add choices.
  2. Round 1: give consent, fill and lock choices, and check your allotment.
  3. Confirm a seat by paying the token tuition fee online and generating your admission letter within the window.
  4. Cancel or withdraw online if you do not want the seat, within the stated dates.
  5. Rounds 2 and 3 fill seats left vacant; ACPC then holds an online round for Govt and GIA institutes and offline vacant-seat rounds.
  6. Report at the allotted institute and pay the remaining fees by the last date.

Round results and steps to check them are on the ACPC 2027 seat allotment page.

Which courses can you join through ACPC?

ACPC fills first-year seats in these courses. Each has its own page with course-specific dates and rules.

ACPC also handles B.I.D and B.C.T, hotel and tourism management, working-professional seats and the J&K admission scheme. Diploma (polytechnic) admission after Class 10 is a separate committee: see ACPDC.

ACPC 2027 FAQs

Do I need GUJCET for ACPC engineering admission?
Yes, for state quota seats. ACPC merit for 95% of Govt and GIA seats and 50% of unaided seats uses your GUJCET percentile and your Class 12 theory percentile with equal weight. Only the 5% All India seats use JEE Main ranks instead.
Can I register with ACPC before my Class 12 result?
Yes. ACPC lets you complete registration before your board or entrance exam result is declared. You add or confirm the marks when results are out, before the merit list.
Is the ACPC registration fee refundable?
No. The Rs 350 registration fee for BE/BTech and pharmacy in 2026-27 was non-refundable and payable online only.
Do I have to submit original documents to the college during ACPC rounds?
No. ACPC says the process is fully online and candidates do not submit original documents to institutes during the admission process. Offline vacant-seat rounds at the ACPC Building are the exception, where you attend with originals.
What is the ACPC helpline number?
ACPC’s helpline is 079-26566000 (8 AM to 12 midnight), as printed on its 2026-27 notices. It also lists an AI helpline, +91-8031338686, on acpc.gujarat.gov.in.
