ACPDC 2027: Gujarat Diploma Admission by Merit, No Entrance Exam

ACPDC 2027 is not an entrance exam. The Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC), Gujarat fills diploma engineering seats on merit: first year on Class 10 marks in Maths, Science and English, and second year (CtoD) on ITI or TEB marks. Registration for 2027-28 is expected from April 2027 at gujdiploma.admissions.nic.in.

This page explains how Gujarat diploma engineering admission works for 2027-28: dates, how to apply, eligibility, how merit is worked out, the merit list, seat allotment and last year’s cut off.

Is there an entrance exam for ACPDC 2027?

No. ACPDC does not hold any written test. It ranks registered candidates on the marks of their qualifying exam and fills seats through online rounds of choice filling and allotment. There is no admit card, answer key or exam centre.

ACPDC runs three admission streams, each with its own registration and merit list:

• First Year Diploma Engineering, for students who have passed Class 10 (SSC).
• Second Year Diploma (CtoD, Certificate to Diploma), lateral entry for Class 10 pass students who also hold a 2-year ITI, TEB or IGTR certificate.
• Second Year Diploma for Working Professionals, for ITI, TEB or IGTR certificate holders with at least one year of work experience.

Seats cover Government, Grant-in-Aid (GIA), self-financed, PPP and COE diploma institutes across Gujarat. The committee works from the ACPC Building, L.D. College of Engineering campus, Ahmedabad.

ACPDC 2027 Important Dates

The 2027-28 schedule is not out yet, so the dates below are expected months based on the 2026-27 key dates. CtoD registration usually opens first, in April, and first-year registration opens in May after the Class 10 result.

How to Apply for ACPDC 2027

You apply online only, on gujdiploma.admissions.nic.in. One registration covers all branches and institutes in your stream, so you do not register separately for Civil, Mechanical or Computer. There is no offline form.

1. Open the registration portal and sign up with your mobile number and email ID. ACPDC sends an OTP to both, so use numbers you will keep active till admission ends.
2. Note the user ID shown after sign-up and log in with it and your password.
3. Fill your personal and contact details, then your Class 10 details and subject marks (and ITI or TEB marks for CtoD).
4. Upload your photo and documents in the stated format and size.
5. Pay the non-refundable registration fee online and confirm the form.
6. Watch your login for document queries and remove any discrepancy before the merit list.

You can register from home or at an ACPDC cyber space centre, where help is free. Before confirmation you can edit your form online; after confirmation, ACPDC accepts edits only through its edit form or an email from your registered email ID.

Who can apply for ACPDC 2027 diploma admission?

Eligibility depends on the stream you choose. The rules below are from ACPDC’s 2026-27 notices and FAQs.

• First year: Class 10 (SSC) passed from an eligible board, with Mathematics (Standard or Basic), Science and English. Your marksheet must show you qualified for the SSC certificate.
• Second year (CtoD): Class 10 with Mathematics, Science and English, plus a valid 2-year ITI, TEB or IGTR certificate course on ACPDC’s eligible list. Wireman and General Mechanic trade holders also qualify.
• Working professionals: a 2-year ITI, TEB or IGTR certificate and at least one year of work experience. You can join an institute within 75 km of your workplace.

There is no upper age limit for diploma engineering admission. A 2-year ITI after Class 7 or 8 does not make you eligible without passing SSC, and CtoD entry is not allowed into Diploma Architecture.

If you passed Class 10 outside Gujarat, you can claim Gujarat seats through a domicile certificate in your father’s or mother’s name, an in-service or ex-service certificate, or a category of service certificate, as ACPDC’s FAQ explains.

How is the ACPDC 2027 merit list prepared?

Your merit comes only from your qualifying exam marks, converted to a score out of 300.

ACPDC first publishes a provisional merit list, then a revised list after candidate queries. A separate list names candidates whose rank is not visible, with the reason, so check both. Students who pass a supplementary or improvement exam can register in a later window and join a revised merit list.

How to Check the ACPDC 2027 Merit List and Seat Allotment

1. Open acpdc.gujarat.gov.in and go to First Year Diploma, Second Year Diploma (CtoD) or Working Professionals.
2. Open the latest merit list PDF and find your name and merit rank.
3. Log in at gujdiploma.admissions.nic.in with your user ID and password to see your rank in your own profile.
4. After each round, open the Result section in your login to see your allotment status.
5. Download your provisional admission letter from the same login.

ACPDC does not send results to you individually. After every round it also posts vacant seats and the opening and closing ranks for each institute and branch.

What is the expected ACPDC 2027 cut off?

ACPDC’s cut off is the last merit rank admitted in a branch and category. These are first-year Round 1 last admitted ranks for 2026-27 at two popular government polytechnics (source: ACPDC Round 1 institute-wise report, 13 July 2026). A lower rank number means higher merit.

For a sense of marks: in 2025-26 Round 1, Computer Engineering at Government Polytechnic, Ahmedabad closed at merit marks of 251 out of 300 for the open category (ACPDC 2025-26 first and last rank report). Ranks usually rise in later rounds as seats fall vacant. ACPDC’s cutoff analysis tool on its website lets you search last year’s data by rank or marks.

How does ACPDC 2027 seat allotment work?

Seats are allotted on your merit, your category and the order of your choices. In 2026-27 the first-year process ran in this order:

• The mock round only shows a trial result. You cannot keep a mock seat, but you can reorder your choices afterwards.
• You can fill as many choices as you like and edit them any number of times until the choice deadline.
• Confirm an allotted seat by paying the token tuition fee online; candidates with zero fee accept the seat online.
• If you will not join later rounds, report to the allotted institute within 3 working days. You can still opt for reshuffling without reporting or paying at the institute.
• Rounds 3 and 4 in 2026 covered only Government and GIA institutes, and Round 4 needed a fresh set of choices. For vacant self-financed, PPP and COE seats, contact the institute directly.

Reserved category candidates are first considered for open seats, so a high-merit SC, ST or SEBC student can get an open seat and still keep scholarship eligibility.

What documents do you need for ACPDC 2027 registration?

• Passport-size photograph (JPEG, 100 KB or less)
• Proof of birth date: school leaving certificate or Aadhaar card (PDF, 200 KB or less)
• Class 10 marksheet; if you took more than one attempt, all marksheets in a single PDF (200 KB or less)
• ITI, TEB or IGTR final-year marksheets, for CtoD
• Caste (SC, ST, SEBC) or EWS certificate from a Gujarat authority, and non-creamy layer certificate for SEBC, if you claim a reserved seat
• Income certificate, if you want a tuition fee waiver (TFWS) seat

All documents except the photo must be PDFs. Zoom in after uploading to check each one is readable, because unclear documents lead to queries that can hold back your rank.
