Online Counselling has been started for Anna University M.Sc (2 Years ) Admission 2020. Registered Users login from the official website or through the direct link given below. All the counselling process will be done as per schedule given above.

Instructions to M.Sc (2 years) Applicants for Online Choice Filling and Confrmation
Counselling: The applicant has to login into the online counselling portal by using their login ID and Password (same as that used at the time of application registration) for performing various applicant activities in a round. The procedure for counselling is as follows:
Payment: The applicants should pay an initial deposit of Rs. 5000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/SCA/ST) through online mode of payment (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card) by using the online counselling portal.
Add Choice: After successful completion of payment, the applicants can add choices to their list (in strict order of preference) to be considered for allotment by using the online counselling portal.
- A choice is a branch in a college.
- Order of preference is the applicant’s priority of choices for allotment ordered from most preferred to least. For example, Choice number 1 will be considered as the most preferred choice for allotment. If Choice number 1 could not be allotted based on merit list, then Choice 2,3,…so on (in strict order) will be considered for allotment.
- The online counselling portal provides provisions to add choices to their preference list in order of preference.
- The applicants are strongly advised to prepare their choices well ahead and add as much choices as possible in order of preference.
- Allotment will be made based on inter-se merit and the ORDER OF PREFERENCE or ORDER OF CHOICE as submitted by the applicant.
Lock Choice: After adding the choices, the applicant should lock their choices before the time as specifed in the schedule.
- Choices has to be locked as per schedule published for the counselling.
- Applicants shall verify the choice list and reorder their order of preference if necessary and ensure that their choice list is in proper order of preference before locking them.
- Applicants ordered choice list can be rearranged and modifed through the online counselling portal and multiple operations to reorder applicant’s ordered preference choice list is supported.
- After locking the choices, a PDF document containing the list of choices locked by the applicant will be sent to the applicant’s registered email.
- Applicants’ who do not complete the initial payment before the stipulated scheduled time can not claim right for participation in the counselling. Therefore, initiate payment transactions well before the stipulated time and complete.
- The choices of applicants who fail to lock their choices in the stipulated time will be locked automatically after the stipulated time.
Tentative allotment: After locking of choices by the applicants, the tentative allotment of choices based on inter-se-merit and applicants order of preference will be published in the respective applicant’s login as per the schedule. Applicants who have applied for Diferently abled quota will be considered for both categories during tentative allotment .

*M.Sc. Medical Physics program, offered by the Department of Medical Physics, College of Engineering Guindy Campus, Anna University, Chennai is one of the professional courses dealing with radiation physics, radiation therapy and radiation safety to the public, patients, and personnel. As per the AERB safety code 2011 (Code No. AERB / RF-MED/SC-1 (Rev.1), it is mandatory that the candidates who complete M.Sc. (Medical Physics) the degree should undergo Medical Radiological Safety Officer examination conducted by AERB after undergoing a minimum of 12 months internship in any one of the AERB recognized Radiotherapy Department to work in the Hospital and Medical institutes as a qualified Medical Physicist or as Radiological Safety Officer. |
For Integrated M.Sc. (5 year) Degree Programmes
- M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ M.Sc. (Information Technology) : A pass in HSC (Academic), in the first appearance itself, with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study prescribed under Part – III or it’s equivalent with a minimum average mark of 50 % for OC, 45 % for BC, BC (Muslim), 40 % for MBC & DNC and SC/SCA/ST category. The average mark refers to the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
- M.Sc. (Electronic Media) : Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2 Curriculum of any group under Part – III or any other Examination of any University (or) authority approved by Anna University, as equivalent thereto.
- Age Limit: The candidate should not have completed 21 years of age as on, 01 July of the year of examination. The age is relaxable by 3 years, only for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu. Candidates appeared for the Qualifying Examination in March / April 2020 may also apply for admission.
Anna University M.Sc Admission 2020 Hall Ticket/Admit Card
All the eligible candidates who register themselves can download the hall ticket from Anna University Web portal. If a candidate can download the hall ticket, he/she should report to the inquiry office at the Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai – 25, with a self-attested copy of their passport size photograph and evidence for having applied for M. Sc. programme. Entrance examination hall ticket should be produced at the time of admission.
Duplicate Hall Ticket / Mark Sheet
After completion of the entrance examination, if the hall ticket is lost, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained on payment of Rs.100/- on a written requisition, indicating the registration no. and produce self-attested photograph which has been taken from the same negative used for the photo uploaded in the application and hall ticket with a certificate obtained from the Head of the Institution where he/she has studied or is studying or an officer of Grade A or B to the effect that he/she is a genuine candidate who has appeared for the entrance examination. In case, if the mark sheet is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained on payment of Rs 250/- by a written request.

(A) Selection Process for M.Sc. (2 years) Degree Programmes
A separate entrance examination for 2 hours on the following subjects based on B.Sc. (Major) the standard will be conducted at Anna University, Chennai.

The admission is based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination.

(B) Selection Process for Integrated M.Sc. (5 years) Degree Programmes
Merit List for M.Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology)
A merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained for 300 (Maths-100; Physics-100; Chemistry-100).
In cases where more than one candidate has got the same mark in the common merit list the inter-se merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
- Percentage of marks obtained in Mathematics
- Percentage of marks obtained in Physics
- Percentage of marks obtained in the fourth optional subject and
- Date of Birth.
Merit List for M.Sc. (Electronic Media)
A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the subjects under Part III (Except Part I – Language and Part II – English)
In cases where more than one candidate have got the same mark in the common merit list the inter-se merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
- Percentage of overall total marks obtained
- Date of Birth.
