The result link was first activated on 11 April. After that it has been randomly activated and de-activated it was not working for some time. Now again the result link is active. Please login and check result.

All the candidates who appeared for the TANCET exam from 25 to 26 March 2017 had been curiously waiting for the results to be announced. The TANCET Result 2017 was announced on 11th April 2017. However, there was some issue in the result login. Several students complained about an error on the result page. They were sometimes unable to see their result.
This error – Incomplete TANCET 2017 Application Filling!!! – was appearing sometimes when attempting to login.
It was probably a technical glitch. Now on April 21, 2017 Anna University activated a separate results link (given above) where students are now able to check result.

TANCET Mark Sheet
Mark sheets shall be downloaded from the website by the candidates within 10 days from the date of publication of results of the entrance test. The mark sheet should be produced at the time of admission. If the mark sheet is lost, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained on payment of ` 100/- in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025.

A unique User ID and password is used by candidates to register. These details are required to log in to the official website and check result.

Significance of TANCET 2017 Result
Anna University conducts the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) each year for admission to following programs.
Admission 2017-2018 in University Departments / Colleges of Anna University, Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Arts & Science Colleges and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges/including stand-alone Institutions) under Government Quota and seats voluntarily surrendered by the self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu will be on the basis of TANCET Results.
The rank obtained by candidate in this entrance exam will be the basis for seat allotment, along with his / her preference of seats.
Thus, TANCET Results play a vital role in the PG Degree Programmes admission process.
Normalisation of marks FOR M.E./ M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan.
The entrance test question paper for M.E./ M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. will have two common parts namely, Part – I Engineering Mathematics and Part – II Basic Engg. & Sciences and Part – III meant for different disciplines. On evaluation, the mean (m) mark and the standard deviation (s) of raw marks (r) may vary from discipline to discipline under Part – III. Marks will be normalized using the formula Normalised marks = 40 + (10/s) (r – m) This gives the relative ranking of the candidates in any discipline.
