How to Check TANCET 2020 Result?
Candidates can check their result online by simply following the instructions as provided below.

Step 2: Next, the candidates have to log in by entering email id and password as obtained after TANCET registration.

TANCET 2020 result: Candidates who have written TANCET are notified with actual marks and percentile scores they have obtained via the result.
TANCET 2020 marksheet: However, on the marksheet of TANCET 2020 candidates can only check their percentile score. This is to avoid projecting negative scoring.
TANCET 2020 Scores Calculated for Result
The result for TANCET 2020 is prepared based on the marking scheme of TANCET exam. However, for all the programmes, the raw marks are then normalised. The normalised score is the final score as per which admission and seat allotment are done.

Formula to calculate ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan prepared?
The question paper for ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan have two common parts – Part 1 is Engineering Mathematics, Part 2 is Basic Engineering & Sciences, whereas Part 3 is meant for different disciplines. Hence, at the time of calculation, the average marks may vary from discipline to discipline. Thus, the marks of Part 3 is computed using the formula below:
Computed Marks of Part 3 = (X+r)m
Where X is the adjustment factor, r is the raw mark scored and m is the multiplication factor used to level the averages of all subjects.
Step 2: Normalisation of raw score scores
Now the above scores are normalised for all the courses of M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. / MBA / MCA, using the formula below:
Percentile Score = (Y/N)* 100
Where Y is the number of students who have scored less than the candidate and N is the total number of students who appeared for the exam.
TANCET 2020 Marksheet
After the declaration of the result, the mark sheet of the candidate is issued at their login. TANCET mark sheet is to be produced at the time of admission. The marksheet has the below given details:

- Normalised marks out of 100

What to do in case the original marksheet is lost? In case if the original mark sheet is lost, then candidates can obtain a duplicate mark sheet by paying an amount of Rs. 100 in the form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary (TANCET), Anna University, Chennai – 600 025. The DD is to be drawn in favor of “The Secretary (TANCET), Anna University” payable at Chennai.
TANCET 2020 Counselling
Qualifiers in the entrance exam are eligible to participate in counselling. The counselling, allotment of seats and the preparation of the merit list is done by Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA). TANCA is conducted by Anna University itself. After the declaration of the result and TANCA schedule candidates have to apply for counselling with their TANCET 2020 scores.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by Anna University for admission in the Tamil Nadu state into various courses including MBA, MCA, ME / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan programme.
