TANCET previous year question papers are free to download here: MBA and MCA papers from 2022 to 2026 (the 2025 and 2026 sets are memory-based) and M.E./M.Tech. part-wise papers from 2016, 2017 and 2022, 58 PDFs in all, without answer keys. TANCET now covers only MBA and MCA, each a 100-question, 2-hour paper with 1/4 mark cut for a wrong answer, so the original 2023 and 2024 MBA and MCA books are the best full practice for the test expected in May 2027.

How the TANCET Papers Changed (2016–2026)
- 2016 and 2017: TANCET also covered M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch. and M.Plan. The engineering paper had two common parts, Engineering Mathematics and Basic Engineering and Sciences, plus a Part III paper for each discipline.
- 2022: the last year with M.E./M.Tech. question books (Group A and Group B), alongside MBA and MCA.
- 2023 onwards: TANCET is only for MBA and MCA. Engineering PG admission moved to CEETA PG, held the day after TANCET.
- 2026: the test moved to May (9 May 2026); the 2023 to 2025 exams were in March.
How to Use TANCET Previous Year Papers?
- Give each paper 2 hours. 100 questions in 120 minutes is 72 seconds a question. In the MBA paper, the business situation passages take longer, so keep a steady pace in the maths and English sections.
- Guess only after cutting options. With +1 and −1/4, a blind guess among four options averages about +0.06 marks. Ruling out two options raises that to about +0.38, so guess when you can eliminate at least two.
- Start with the 2023 and 2024 original books. They are full question books. The 2025 and 2026 sets are memory-based recall, useful for the latest question types but not complete.
- Mark your own answers. There are no answer keys on these pages, so solve each question fully and check doubtful ones from your notes before you score.
- Plan for May 2027. Registration is expected around March 2027. One MBA or MCA paper every two weeks covers 2022 to 2026 twice before the test.

How many questions are there in TANCET?
Each of the MBA and MCA papers has 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks, to be answered in 2 hours.
Is there negative marking in TANCET?
Yes. A correct answer gets 1 mark and a wrong or multiple-shaded answer loses 1/4 mark. Unanswered questions cost nothing.
Do the TANCET papers here have answer keys?
No. Anna University does not publish solved papers, and none of the year pages has a key. Use your own working or the sample papers’ keys for practice.
Are the TANCET 2025 and 2026 papers original?
No. The 2025 MBA paper and the 2026 MBA and MCA papers are memory-based sets built from candidates’ recall, so a few questions may differ. The 2022 to 2024 papers are the original books.
Is there a TANCET M.E. or M.Tech. paper after 2022?
No. From 2023 M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch. and M.Plan. admissions use CEETA PG. The 2016, 2017 and 2022 engineering papers here are from when TANCET still covered them.
How many candidates take TANCET?
In 2026, 15,050 candidates appeared for the MBA paper and 7,281 for MCA, according to Anna University’s result press release.
