What is CEETA PG Entrance Exam?
The CEETA PG stands for Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission — Post Graduate. In 2026 the exam is organised by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is the State-level Engineering entrance exam for admission to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. programmes at the University Departments of Anna University, Anna University Regional Campuses, University Colleges of Engineering, Annamalai University, and Government & Government-Aided Engineering Colleges across Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2026-27. Self-financing engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu may also use the CEETA PG 2026 score for their admission process. CEETA PG replaced the M.E./M.Tech. component of TANCET from 2023 onwards.

CEETA PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. degree, or a Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, or 10 + 2 + AMIE, or 10 + 3 year diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE in the relevant field.
- Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate in the qualifying degree (45% for SC / SCA / ST candidates of Tamil Nadu).
- Domicile: While candidates from all India can appear in CEETA PG 2026, the Tamil Nadu domicile rule applies for the state quota during counselling.

- Release Date: The CEETA PG 2026 admit card was released by Anna University on 27 April 2026 at tancet.annauniv.edu.

CEETA PG 2026 Answer Key
- The CEETA PG 2026 answer key will be released by Anna University in two stages — provisional and final.
- Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key within the stipulated window by paying the prescribed objection fee per question.
- After resolving valid objections, Anna University releases the final answer key, which is then used to prepare the CEETA PG 2026 result.
