Chandigarh ITI Admission 2027: Dates, Form, Merit

Chandigarh ITI Admission 2027 is the online, merit-based admission to trades in the two Government ITIs of UT Chandigarh, run by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), UT Chandigarh. There is no entrance test: merit comes from Class 8, 10 or 12 marks. The online form is expected to open in May 2027 on itichdadmission.edu.in.

Latest (20 July 2026): Physical counselling for Session 2026-27 began on 20 July 2026 at GITI Sector 28 with the UT pool (Class 10 based trades). The online form for 2027 is expected in May 2027.

Is there an entrance exam for Chandigarh ITI admission 2027?

No. DTE Chandigarh fills seats in the two Government ITIs of the UT on merit, worked out from the marks of your qualifying class. You apply online, and seats are then given at physical counselling held pool by pool.

DTE Chandigarh has not announced the 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 the online form was open from 19 May to 24 June 2026 and physical counselling began on 20 July 2026, so the 2027 form is expected in May 2027.

How to Apply for Chandigarh ITI Admission 2027

You apply online only, on itichdadmission.edu.in, once the 2027 form opens. There is no offline form. One login lets you apply for several trades and both ITIs, in your own order of priority.

Applications for Chandigarh ITI 2027 are expected in May 2027.

Open itichdadmission.edu.in and click Register. Enter your name exactly as on your Class 8 or Class 10 marksheet, your email ID, your mobile number and the captcha.
A password comes by SMS to your mobile number, which is your login ID. If the SMS does not arrive within 15 minutes, use Forget Password on the login page with your mobile number and the captcha.
Log in with your mobile number, password and captcha, and pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs 85 online. Payment verification can take up to 24 hours.
Open the application form and fill in your personal and category details, then your Class 8 and Class 10 (or Class 12) marks exactly as on your marksheets. These marks decide your merit.
Choose your trades in order of priority. Upload a JPEG photo and signature (under 50 KB each) and your documents as PDF files (under 200 KB each).
Check the preview and submit. No editing is possible after final submission. Note your application form number and print the form, because you must bring it to counselling.

The registration fee is the only payment at the application stage. The admission fee is paid only after you get a seat, and DTE has not published the 2027 amounts yet.

Who can apply for Chandigarh ITI admission 2027?

You can apply if you have passed the class the trade asks for: Class 8 for 8th-based trades, Class 10 for 10th-based trades, or Class 12 (with your Class 10 marks) for 12th-based trades. Women can choose trades in both ITIs; men can choose only the trades of GITI Sector 28.

Keep ready your Class 8, Class 10 or Class 12 detailed marksheet, as the trade needs, and your Aadhaar card.
Keep a scanned passport-size photo and signature, scans of your certificates in PDF, and a working email ID and mobile number of your own or a family member.
Select a category only if you hold a valid certificate for it, because you must upload it with the form.
Marks are not rounded up: 32.9%, 39.9% or 49.9% will not be treated as 33%, 40% or 50%.

Two Government ITIs run under the Directorate of Technical Education, UT Chandigarh, and both fill their seats through this one online form.

How does Chandigarh ITI counselling and merit work?

Chandigarh does not publish separate 1st, 2nd and 3rd merit lists. Applicants are ranked on the marks of their qualifying class, and seats are filled at physical counselling at GITI Sector 28, Chandigarh, where candidates are called pool by pool and category by category.

Can I get admission in a Chandigarh Government ITI after Class 8?

Yes, in the Class 8 based trades. They are filled in a separate counselling round for the UT and General pools, held after the Class 10 based rounds.

Can boys apply to the ITI in Sector 11-C?

No. Government ITI Sector 11-C is only for women. Male candidates see and choose trades of Government ITI Sector 28-C only.

How much does the Chandigarh ITI online form cost?

In 2026 the registration fee was Rs 85, paid online after logging in and not refundable. The 2027 fee will be confirmed when the form opens.

I forgot my password. How do I log in again?

Use Forget Password on the login page of itichdadmission.edu.in. Enter your registered mobile number and the captcha, and a new password is sent to that number by SMS.

Can I edit my Chandigarh ITI form after submitting it?

No. You can view and change details only before final submission. Check every page in the preview, especially your marks and trade priorities, before you submit.
