How are CPGEE answer keys and merit lists released?

Cotton University publishes subject-wise answer keys on its website a few days after the exam and lets candidates challenge them online. In 2026 the keys came out on the evening of 7 July and the challenge window ran from 5 PM on 7 July to 5 PM on 8 July.

  • Challenges are accepted only online, with a fee of Rs 300 per question paid on the university’s fee portal; the fee is refunded if the challenge is found valid.
  • OMR sheets are evaluated on the final answer key, and no re-evaluation is allowed after that.
  • Subject-wise merit lists are prepared separately for Cotton graduate and open seats, within about 15 days of the exam. The 2026 provisional first merit list came on 22 July 2026.
  • Candidates with equal scores are ranked by fewer negative marks first, then by earlier date of birth.
  • Being on the merit list does not guarantee a seat; admission depends on seats left and on your documents.

Cotton University did not publish closing marks for 2026, so there is no official CPGEE cut-off to quote.
