TG CPGET 2027 (Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests) is the state entrance test for MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, M.P.Ed and other PG courses in nine Telangana universities. A host university runs it for TGCHE; in 2026 it was Kakatiya University. The 2027 dates are not out yet, and the tests are expected in July 2027.

How to Apply for TG CPGET 2027
You apply for TG CPGET 2027 online at cpget.tgche.ac.in once the notification is out, expected in May 2027. In 2026 the form was open from 15 May to 15 June without late fee, and till 19 June with a late fee. One form can cover more than one subject test.
Apply Online for TG CPGET 2027
Applications for TG CPGET 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Go to cpget.tgche.ac.in and read the information brochure and the eligibility rules for your subject.
- Register with your basic details and choose how many subject tests you want to take.
- Pay the registration fee online by debit card, credit card or net banking, or at a TG Online centre.
- Note the Registration ID you get after payment.
- Log in with the Registration ID, your registered mobile number and date of birth, and fill the online application.
- Upload your photograph and signature, plus caste, EWS, income and PwD certificates if they apply to you.
- Check the preview, submit the form and keep a printout.

In 2026 a late fee of Rs 500 applied till 17 June and Rs 2,000 till 19 June. A correction window from 16 to 19 June 2026 let candidates fix submitted details.
How to log in to the TG CPGET 2027 candidate portal?
TG CPGET has no password account. You use your Registration ID, registered mobile number and date of birth to fill the online application, and your registration number and date of birth to download the hall ticket and rank card.
- Open the official TG CPGET website. The TG CPGET 2027 links open there with the notification, expected in May 2027.
- Pay the registration fee first. You get a Registration ID once the payment goes through.
- To fill the application, log in with your Registration ID, registered mobile number and date of birth.
- For the hall ticket, enter your registration number, date of birth and test paper. For the rank card, enter your CPGET hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth.
- Your application, hall ticket or rank card opens on screen. Check it and print it.
There is no password to reset. Keep your Registration ID safe, as the brochure asks. The Check Application Fee Payment Status option on the website, which needs your degree hall ticket number and mobile number, shows whether your fee went through. For a lost Registration ID, contact the helpdesk listed on the official website.
Who can apply for TG CPGET 2027?
You can apply if you have passed, or are in the final semester of, a bachelor’s degree that meets the rules of the PG course you want. Most MA, M.Sc and M.Com courses need at least 40% marks or equivalent CGPA in the degree, and SC and ST candidates need only a pass. These are the 2026 rules.
- M.Ed. needs a B.Ed. and M.P.Ed. needs a B.P.Ed., each with 55% marks (50% for SC, ST and BC).
- Most M.Sc courses need that subject as an optional in your B.Sc, for example at least 24 credits in Mathematics for M.Sc Mathematics.
- B.Pharm, B.Sc (MLT), B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (Ag), B.Sc Home Science and B.E. or B.Tech graduates cannot join M.Sc courses. B.E. and B.Tech graduates can still take M.Sc Geo-Informatics and Food Science & Technology.
- A degree with a single subject through open or distance mode is not accepted.
- Eligibility is not checked when you apply or take the test. It is checked at counselling, so confirm it before you apply.
In each course, 85% of seats are for local candidates of Telangana and 15% are unreserved. Students from other states can also use the 20% supernumerary National Integration Quota seats in campus and constituent colleges.
What is the TG CPGET 2027 exam pattern?
Each TG CPGET subject test is a 90-minute computer-based test with 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks, with no negative marking. This is the 2026 pattern, which is expected to continue.

The 2026 list had 45 subject tests across Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Education and Science. Five-year integrated courses were not in the 2026 TG CPGET course list.
