Rajasthan Polytechnic Admission 2027 (DAP-2027) is the merit-based admission to first-year Diploma Engineering in government and private polytechnics of Rajasthan. There is no entrance test. The Department of Technical Education runs it through CEG Jaipur on daprajasthan.co.in, ranking applicants on Class 10 percentage. The 2027 form is expected around May 2027.

Is there an entrance exam for Rajasthan polytechnic admission 2027?
No. Rajasthan holds no written test for polytechnic admission. CEG Jaipur ranks applicants on the percentage in their qualifying exam and fills seats online, so there is no admit card, answer key or exam result.
The process runs on two portals:
- DAP (Diploma Admission Process) on daprajasthan.co.in: first year of the 3-year Diploma Engineering, after Class 10.
- LDAP on ldaprajasthan.co.in: direct admission to the second year (lateral entry) for ITI, Class 12, C.Voc and diploma holders.
The 2026-27 booklet lists about 137 polytechnics: 68 government, 1 central government and 68 private, of which 4 run under PPP. All are approved by AICTE and affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (BTER), Jodhpur. First-year non-engineering diplomas were filled only in the institute-level direct admission rounds in 2026.

The DAP-2027 schedule is not out yet, so the 2027 dates below are expected months. In 2026 the form was open from 17 May to 10 June 2026, seats were allotted on 1 and 18 July 2026, and the last direct admission round ended on 14 September 2026.

How to Apply for Rajasthan Polytechnic Admission 2027
You apply only online on the DAP portal, and the same form carries your choices of polytechnic and branch (the option form). There is no offline form. The steps below follow the DAP-2026 portal.
Apply Online for Rajasthan Polytechnic 2027
Applications for Rajasthan Polytechnic 2027 are expected in May 2027.
- Open the DAP candidate registration page and register with your basic details, a mobile number and an email ID that you will not change during the process.
- Pay the Rs 354 application fee online and note the transaction number. Your Form Number and password are used for every later login.
- Fill the application form. Date of birth, gender, income group, category and sub-category cannot be changed after you submit.
- Upload your documents and print the application form.
- Fill your college and branch choices in the option form and lock it by the last date. Check the seat matrix on the portal before you enter codes.
- Print the application form with your choices and keep it safe.

Who can apply for Rajasthan polytechnic admission 2027?
You can apply for the first year if you have passed Class 10 from the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) or an equivalent board. There is no age limit for any course. The table gives the 2026-27 rules.

- Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths makes you eligible for every lateral-entry branch. Other Class 12 combinations qualify only for branches whose required subjects you passed.
- Lateral-entry students from a different background must also pass bridge courses set by BTER Jodhpur.
- Preference category 1 covers applicants who passed Class 10 as regular students of a Rajasthan school (RBSE or CBSE), natives of Rajasthan, and children or spouses of Rajasthan government employees or of central and state body employees posted in Rajasthan.
- All other applicants are placed after category 1 in the merit list and are treated as unreserved.
How is the Rajasthan polytechnic merit list prepared?
For first year, the merit list is based on the percentage in Class 10. If your marksheet shows CGPA or GPA, it is converted as CGPA x 9.5; if it shows no percentage, the percentage of the total of all subjects is used.
- If you passed through a supplementary exam or improved your marks, the final marksheet issued by the board counts.
- If two applicants have the same merit, the older one ranks higher, and then the one with the lower application number.
- A provisional merit list comes first. You can upload missing documents and raise objections on the portal, and the final merit list follows.
- For lateral entry, diploma holders are ranked first, then C.Voc, then ITI, then Class 12 applicants, each on their qualifying percentage. BTER diploma CGPA is converted as CGPA x 10 – 5.
How does Rajasthan polytechnic seat allotment work?
Seats are allotted online in two allotments, followed by two institute-level rounds. Your merit, category and the order of choices in your locked option form decide your seat.
- First allotment: seats for all categories, including PwD, single-woman dependents, ex-servicemen dependents, Kashmiri migrants, TFWS and OCI quotas.
- Pay the Rs 1,000 reporting fee and report online. You can apply for upward movement to a higher choice at the same time.
- Second allotment: for upward-movement applicants, those whose choices were exhausted and those whose merit or category changed after document checks. Report online again.
- Visit your finally allotted polytechnic in person with original documents and pay the rest of the fee.
- Internal sliding: change of branch within the same institute for vacant seats.
- Direct admission: seats still vacant are filled at each institute by category-wise merit. In 2026 forms were taken until 12 noon each working day and admissions were made from 2 PM.
If you do not report online after an allotment, the allotment is cancelled and the seat goes to the next round.
How to Check the Rajasthan Polytechnic Merit List and Allotment Result
You see your merit and your allotted seat by logging in on the DAP help portal with your Form Number and password. No OTP is needed. The steps below follow the 2026 portal; the links for 2027 will open with the next registration.
- Open the DAP official website.
- For merit, click the final merit link and enter your Form Number and password to see your merit position.
- For allotment, open the DAP candidate login and log in with the same Form Number and password.
- Check the polytechnic and branch allotted to you, then pay the reporting fee and report online by the deadline.
- Lateral-entry candidates use the LDAP links on ldaprajasthan.co.in.

How are seats reserved in Rajasthan polytechnics?
Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS candidates, with further horizontal quotas inside each category. The table gives the 2026-27 vertical reservation.

- Women get 30% horizontal reservation in co-education polytechnics.
- Horizontal quotas: dependents of ex-servicemen 5%, persons with disabilities (40% or more) 5%, widows, divorced women and orphanage residents 10%, and children of single women 10%.
- Persons with disabilities need a certificate from the National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, Jaipur, which also decides the branches they are eligible for.
- Extra (supernumerary) seats: 5% for Kashmiri migrants, 5% under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS, family income below Rs 8 lakh) and 15% for foreign, OCI and Gulf-worker children.
- Private polytechnics (not PPP) fill 15% of seats in each branch as a management quota at their own level. A sports quota applies to Rajasthan natives.
What fees do you pay at a Rajasthan polytechnic?
The fee depends on the type of seat. The table shows the first-semester amounts printed in the DAP-2026 booklet; the board may revise them.

- In government polytechnics, no tuition fee is taken from women, SC and ST candidates, and dependents of state employees who do not pay income tax.
- After allotment you pay only the Rs 1,000 reporting fee online; the rest is paid at the allotted polytechnic.
- PPP women’s polytechnics and self-financed courses in government polytechnics charge private-college fees.
What documents do you need for Rajasthan polytechnic admission?
Upload these with your form and carry the originals to the allotted polytechnic:
- Class 10 marksheet (and ITI, Class 12, C.Voc or diploma marksheet for lateral entry)
- Proof for preference category 1, such as a Rajasthan school record, bona fide certificate or parent’s employment certificate
- SC, ST, OBC or MBC certificate; an OBC or MBC certificate older than one year needs the undertaking in Annexure III
- EWS certificate for 2026-27 (older ones only with the Annexure IV undertaking), or the latest equivalent for 2027
- Income certificate (Annexure VII or IX) if you claim TFWS
- Disability certificate from NCSC-DA Jaipur, ex-servicemen papers or single-woman affidavit, if claimed
- Migration certificate at admission (or the Annexure VIII declaration if it is delayed)
