GLAT 2027 (Geeta Law Admission Test) is the online entrance test of Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat, for its five-year BA LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.) courses in the 2027-28 session. When is GLAT 2027?
GIL has not announced GLAT 2027 dates yet. In 2026 the online test was held every Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 PM until 31 July 2026, so GLAT 2027 is expected to run as weekly online tests in the months up to July 2027.

How to Apply for GLAT 2027
You apply on the Geeta Institute of Law admission portal, which the Apply Now button on GIL’s GLAT page opens. The portal now shows admissions for the 2026-27 session; the 2027-28 round is expected on the same portal.

- Open the GLAT page on geetalawcollege.in and click Apply Now to reach the GIL admission portal.
- Register with your name, email address and mobile number, and verify the mobile number with the OTP sent to it.
- Select your state, city and course, BA LL.B. (Hons.) or BBA LL.B. (Hons.), complete the captcha and submit the form.
- Wait for your GLAT login details and test link, which the institute sends through its official communication.
- Take the online test, then attend the interview with GIL’s academic panel when you are called.

Semester fees cover tuition, development and establishment charges but not examination charges. The GLAT page does not list a separate test fee, so confirm any charge when you register.
Who can apply for GLAT 2027?
You can apply if you have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 45% aggregate marks (42.75% for SC/ST candidates) and English as one of your subjects. The same rule applies to BA LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.).
GIL prints the note “Haryana Domicile Only” with these criteria on its GLAT and admission pages. If you live outside Haryana, confirm with the admission office before you apply.
What is the GLAT 2027 exam pattern?
GLAT is an online objective test of 100 questions in 90 minutes, taken from home. The 2027 pattern is not announced yet, so the table follows GIL’s GLAT page and its latest GLAT Syllabus (2025).

The current GLAT page does not mention negative marking. The 2018 and 2019 GLAT papers stated that there was no negative marking for wrong answers.
What is in the GLAT syllabus?
The GLAT Syllabus 2025, the latest one GIL links, lists five sections at about Class 10 to 12 level.
- General English: comprehension, idioms, synonyms, antonyms, words and phrases.
- Logical Reasoning: number tests, coding and decoding, direction and distance, blood relations.
- Legal Reasoning: the Indian Constitution (Fundamental Rights and Duties, Directive Principles), judiciary, Parliament, local government and current legal affairs.
- Quantitative Techniques: Class 10 mathematics such as percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, profit and loss, and data interpretation.
- Current Affairs: important events in India and the world, arts and culture, international affairs and historical events of lasting significance.
How does GLAT 2027 selection work after the test?
Selection depends on your GLAT performance, an interview and a check of your eligibility. GIL’s admissions team runs the process after the test.
- Results and scholarship details are sent by official email and WhatsApp.
- Interview dates and the documents you need are shared at least one week in advance.
- An academic panel conducts the interview.
- Good GLAT scores make you eligible for merit scholarships; GIL names students who got 100% scholarships in the 2024-25 and 2025-26 sessions.
- Scores from CLAT, AILET or LSAT India may be accepted in place of GLAT.
What are the GLAT online exam-day rules?
You take GLAT online, so your room and device are your exam centre. GIL’s instructions for 2026 were:
- Log in at least 15 minutes before the test starts.
- Use a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection.
- Keep a valid photo ID ready for verification.
- Sit in a quiet, well-lit room.
- Use only the login details and test link sent through GIL’s official communication. For help, GIL lists +91 7015274400.
GLAT Previous Year Question Papers
Actual GLAT papers from 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 are free on the GLAT question papers page. They show how the test has changed: up to 2019 it was a 100-question, 90-minute paper on an OMR sheet, while the 2022 paper had 50 questions in 45 minutes on a computer.
