How to Apply for Jharkhand Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2027
You apply online only, on the JCECEB website, once the 2027 notice is out (expected in July 2027). The Basic and Post-Basic tests share one form link. In 2026 the form was open from 16 July to 2 August 2026, and 3 August 2026 was the only day to edit it.

Applications for Jharkhand Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2027 are expected in July 2027.
- Go to jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and click “Click here for All Online Application Form Submission” on the homepage.
- Open the link for the B.Sc Nursing (Basic/Post-Basic) Entrance Competitive Examination and read the instructions.
- Register and choose the Post-Basic course, then fill in your personal, category and qualification details.
- Upload a scanned colour passport-size photo that shows your face and both ears clearly (not edited), your signature and your left thumb impression.
- Pay the fee online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI, submit the form and keep a printout. You do not need to send it to JCECEB.

The fee is not refundable. Check your name, date of birth and category before you pay, because the single edit day is your last chance to correct them.
Who can apply for Jharkhand Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2027?
You can apply if you have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) and hold a GNM certificate with registration as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurse Registration Council. These are the 2026 rules; the 2027 notice will confirm them.
- Qualification: Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board, or 10+1 passed in or before 1986.
- Nursing: a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registration as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurse Registration Council.
- Male nurses trained before the integrated course must show INC-approved training of similar duration in place of midwifery, in areas such as OT techniques, psychiatric, community health, cancer or orthopaedic nursing.
- Medical fitness: you must be medically fit.
- Residence: seats go first to eligible local residents of Jharkhand. Other eligible candidates are admitted only if seats stay vacant.
- Age: the 2026 notice set no age limit for the Post-Basic course.
Who gets priority for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing seats?
Seats are allotted by merit within three priority codes, in this order:
- Regular government employees working as “A” grade nurses under the Jharkhand government
- “A” grade nurses working on contract under the Jharkhand government
- “A” grade nurses working in non-government institutions
You must upload your service certificate during counselling. Government employees must serve five years in a state government institution after the course, or repay the salary and training cost received during the course in one lump sum.
