Maharashtra Agriculture CET 2027 is not a separate exam. The State CET Cell fills B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and allied degree seats in the four State Agricultural Universities and their colleges through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP), using your MHT-CET (PCB or PCM), JEE Main or NEET-UG percentile. CAP registration for 2027-28 is expected in July 2027.

Is there a separate Maharashtra Agriculture CET in 2027?
No. The State CET Cell does not hold a separate entrance test for agriculture. Seats in B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and the allied degree courses are filled through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP), and your merit is your total percentile in MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET-UG in the required group (PCB or PCM), plus weightage points.
If you take more than one of these exams, or both MHT-CET groups, the highest percentile is used. So the test to prepare for is MHT-CET (PCB or PCM), or JEE Main or NEET-UG. MHT-CET is held separately by the State CET Cell, and its 2027 dates had not been announced as of 14 October 2026.

How to Apply for Maharashtra Agriculture Admission 2027
You apply online only, in the agriculture CAP registration that the State CET Cell opens after the MHT-CET, JEE and NEET results. In 2026 the link was on cetcell.mahacet.org and registration ran from 10 July to 2 August 2026. Do not send forms or documents by post to MCAER or any university.
Apply Online for Maharashtra Agriculture CET 2027
Applications for Maharashtra Agriculture CET 2027 are expected in July 2027.
- Appear in MHT-CET 2027 (PCB or PCM group), JEE Main 2027 or NEET-UG 2027, and keep your score card.
- When the 2027-28 agriculture CAP opens (expected July 2027), open the agriculture admission link on the State CET Cell website and register.
- Fill in your Class 10 and Class 12 details, entrance exam score, category and any weightage you claim.
- Upload your photo, signature and scans of the original documents.
- Pay the application fee online if you are a JEE or NEET candidate without an MHT-CET score, and submit the form.
- Check the provisional merit list and raise any grievance online, with your login ID and password, before the deadline.

These are the 2026-27 fees from the prospectus; the 2027-28 prospectus will confirm them. After your documents are checked at the allotted college, you also pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000 online.
Who can apply for Maharashtra agriculture admission 2027?
You can apply if you meet all of these conditions from the 2026-27 prospectus:
- You are at least 16 years old on the last date of the CAP application.
- You passed Class 12 Science with English and at least 45% aggregate (40% for SC, ST, VJ/NT, OBC, SEBC, EWS and PwD candidates).
- You have an MHT-CET score above zero, or a JEE or NEET score, in the group your course needs.
- If you took the PCB group, you passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology; for the PCM group, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry, Class 12 must have PCB, PCMB or Inter (Agriculture). Students admitted without Biology or Mathematics take a deficiency course. NEET’s Physics, Chemistry and Biotechnology group and JEE (Architecture) scores are not accepted.
Candidates whose parents have lived in Maharashtra for less than 3 of the last 10 years are treated as out-of-state, and 2% of the intake is reserved for them. The prospectus says this residence condition does not apply to non-aided affiliated colleges.
How is the Maharashtra agriculture merit list prepared?
Your merit score is your entrance percentile in the required group plus weightage points, capped at 20 points. For example, 95 percentile with 12 weightage points gives a merit score of 107.

A provisional merit list comes first, followed by an online grievance window and the final merit list. Merit lists are published only on the website; nothing is sent by post.
How do CAP rounds work for Maharashtra agriculture admission?
Seats are filled in three online rounds, then offline rounds for vacant seats. The 2026-27 schedule shows the order you can expect in 2027:

After an online allotment you choose Freeze (keep the seat and leave CAP) or Float (keep the seat but stay in for a better choice). Float is available only to candidates who got a seat in Round 1 that was not their first preference. If your first preference is allotted, you must take it.
After each round, the cell posts college-wise and category-wise last merit (cut off) lists, so you can judge your chances in the next round. Unaided colleges also fill 20% of their seats through an institutional quota at college level.
Which universities and seats are covered?
CAP covers the colleges of Maharashtra’s four State Agricultural Universities and their affiliated private colleges: Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (Rahuri), Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (Akola), Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (Parbhani) and Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (Dapoli).
The 2026-27 prospectus listed 3,626 seats in government and aided colleges and 13,960 in private unaided colleges, and more colleges and divisions were added by later orders. Of the seats left after the ICAR and out-of-state quotas, 30% go to the Maharashtra (M) quota and 70% to the University (U) quota for students who passed Class 12 in that university’s area.
In ICAR-accredited government and aided colleges, up to 20% of seats are filled by ICAR, New Delhi. Any of those seats left vacant after ICAR’s last round come back to CAP.
What documents do you need for Maharashtra agriculture admission 2027?
- MHT-CET, JEE or NEET score card and Class 12 marksheet
- Class 10 marksheet
- School or college leaving certificate (out-of-state candidates may give a migration certificate)
- Maharashtra domicile certificate, or a leaving or birth certificate showing birth in Maharashtra
- Caste certificate, caste validity certificate, non-creamy layer or EWS certificate, if you claim a reserved seat
- 7/12 extract or agriculturist, landless labourer or fisherman certificate, and NCC, NSS, sports or competition certificates, for weightage
You upload scans while applying and show the originals at the allotted college. The college confirms your admission only after it verifies them.
What fees do you pay after admission?
In government and aided colleges, the 2026-27 prospectus lists a tuition fee of Rs 10,000 a term. All college fees together come to Rs 20,810 for the first term and Rs 15,900 for the second, plus hostel charges if you take a room.
Private unaided colleges charge the fees approved by Maharashtra’s Fees Regulating Authority. Seats filled through the institutional quota can cost up to three times that approved fee.
