UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020
Their respective Seat intakes are 80 seats of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Programme, 49 for M.V.Sc. Course and 24 seats are reversed for PhD Programmes. UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Result
The result of the PVT entrance exam is available on the official website. Candidates can check their result by using entering their examination roll number and mobile number on the login page. All the candidates who have qualified the PVT preliminary examination is allowed to appear in PVT Mains Examination. On the basis of PVT mains examinations candidates is selected for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H degree course. Admission to M.V.Sc and PhD course is done on the basis of the score of PGET and for diploma course PDET score is considered for admission.
UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Admit Card
All the candidates who have submitted the application form on or before the last date can download the admit card from the official website. Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination centre. Candidates can download the admit card by using their login credentials such as application number and password. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre without possessing a valid admit card. All the candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least 45 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Counselling
The selection to the said courses will be done on the basis of Merit cum reservation based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Main Entrance Examination. All the qualified candidates will be called for counselling process. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of document verification stage during counselling process as per the schedule. The notification for the conduct of counselling will be updated on the official website.

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Application Form
In order to appear in the exam candidates are required to fill out an application form which will be released on the official website upvetuniv.edu.in. The application process for the conduct of exam will be on online mode only. No application form in physical form will be accepted under any circumstances. To submit the application form successfully candidates need to pay an application fee for the same. If any candidate fails to pay an application fee, then in that case application form will be considered as incomplete and it will lead to rejection of candidature. Candidates need to pay an expected amount of application fee as follows.
Application Fee: Rs. 1800/-
Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay the fee through online mode i.e by using debit card/ credit card/ Net banking.
UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for UP Vetrinary Entrance Exam 2020 from below:
For B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Courses
Nationality: Should be an Indian National (NRIs are also eligible) and must have Domicile of UP (not in the case of NRI)
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 17 yrs
- Maximum: 25 yrs
Note: Relaxation of 5 years in age will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC candidate
Education Qualifications:
- You have to passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- Candidates who belong to General Category and applying for B.V.Sc. and A.H degree course should have qualified each of the subjects- English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and have secured 50% aggregate in qualifying exam and candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST) have secured 47.5% in qualifying examination.
- NRI candidates must have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and English up to 12th standard with 50% aggregate marks in each subject.
- Five years age relaxation is given to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes candidates.
- Applicants appearing in 10+2 are also eligible to apply.
For M.V.Sc. and PhD Courses
Age Limit: there is no age limit
Educational Qualifications:
- For Master’s Programme candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree(B.V.Sc. and A.H) with 6.00/10.00 or its equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage for unreserved category and candidates belonging to the reserved category must have secured 5.5/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage.
- For Doctoral Programme is Master’s degree (MVSc) in the concerned subject with an OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent percentage of marks for unreserved (UR) and OBC category candidates and 6.00/10 for SC/ST/PH category candidates.
Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension
- Candidates have to passed the 10+2 or intermediate from U.P. Board or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% aggregate marks for Unreserved and OBC candidates and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates.
B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D (College of Biotechnology)
- B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST candidates) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

UP Veterinary Admission through Pre Diploma Entrance Test 2020
Admission to Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension courses shall be made only on the basis of his/her merit in the Pre – Diploma Entrance Test (PDET). For unreserved and OBC candidates the coutoff marks in PDET shall be 45% and 35% for SC/ST candidates. No other merit/ weightage shall be considered for admission to the diploma programme.
UP Veterinary Admission through Pre-Veterinary Entrance test 2020
For admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H courses candidates have to qualifiy the Pre-Veterinary Entrance test (PVT). The selection of candidates in mentioned course is done on the basis of his/her merit in the main PVT examination conducted by DUVASU, Mathura. For admission to B.V.Sc & A.H programme Candidates need to obtained the minimum qualifying marks in both preliminary and mains PVT examinations separately. Cut off marks for UR & OBC is 50% and 40% marks is for candidates who belong to SC/ST category.
UP Veterinary Admission through Post Graduate Entrance Test 2020
In admission to all Post-graduate programmes ( M.V.Sc. & Ph.D.) shall be made strictly on the basis of merit obtained in the PG Entrance Test. It is conducted for both M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. courses. The minimum qualifying marks in PGET for M.V.Sc. shall be 50% for UR and OBC, and 45% for SC/ST candidates. For Ph.D. cousres the minimum qualifying marks in PGET is 60% for UR and OBC and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
UP Veterinary Admission through Merit in Qualifying Examination 2020
B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology /B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Microbiology: Merit in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent and as per the reservation policy of the State. Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from the candidates of the unreserved category. However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates.

It was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 25 Oct 2001, The College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura became its main constituent college. It was the first Veterinary College in Asia to start with a degree programme in Veterinary Science and to start 4 postgraduate degree programmes in various disciplines of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in 1951 and the Ph.D. degree programme was started in 1953.
