Application Form

Application Form of UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 for eligible candidates for admission to following courses is available as per the schedule. Aspirants for admission have to apply online on the prescribed Application forms available on the university website (www.upvetuniv.edu.in) or from the link that is provided below. Candidates are advised to read carefully eligibility criteria and others details before submitting the application form.

Instruction for filling the Application Form

  • Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be made.
  • It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of document verification stage during the counselling process as per the schedule.
  • Application form processing fee is to be paid through the online system only by Credit card / Debit card, Internet Banking for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fee. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. The online application will be entertained subject to the successful credit of application form processing fee to the University account before the closing date. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • It is mandatory for all the aspiring candidates to Register and confirm the online application form at www.upvetuniv.edu.in

Eligibility Criteria

B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course

  • He / She should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • He /she must not have less than 17 years and the maximum of 22 years age on or before the 31st December of that year of his/her admission and there shall be relaxation in maximum age by five years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes candidates.
  • A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination and 47.5% (5% less than the qualifying marks for reserved category) for the candidates of SC & ST category.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for admission to B.V.Sc & A.H programe shall be 50% for UR & OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates in both preliminary and mains PVT examinations separately.
  • Candidates seeking admission under NRI are those who have educated abroad and should have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English up to the 12th Standard level with 50% aggregate marks in these subjects. NRI candidates are not required to appear in PVT-2019, however, they must have secured minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate or equivalent examination.

M.V.Sc. and Ph.D

  • The candidate must have passed the B.V.Sc & A.H examination from a VCI recognized college.
  • Eligibility for Master’s Programme is a bachelor’s degree in the respective/related subjects and 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for unreserved category candidates and 5.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/PH category candidates at Bachelor’s degree level.
  • Eligibility for Doctoral Programme is a master’s degree in respective/related subjects and OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage of marks for UR category candidates and 6.0/10 or equivalent. OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/PH category as per guidelines of ICAR. Conversation formula for OGPA calculation shall be of the year in which the candidates pass out.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for admission to B.V.Sc & A.H programe shall be 50% for UR & OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST category candidates in both preliminary and mains PVT examinations separately.

B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D (College of Biotechnology)

  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST candidates) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • M.Sc./M.V.Sc. Biotechnology: B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/ B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Tech. (Biotech)/, B.V.Sc. & A.H. /B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Fisheries). Minimum 60% marks at UG level (5% relaxation in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category)

Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension

  • He/ she has passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or intermediate from U.P. Board or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% aggregate marks for Unreserved and OBC candidates and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates or an examination equivalent to the intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English
  • He/she has appeared in the PDET-2019 conducted by the University (DUVASU) and declared eligible based on the test result.
  • He/she shall produce his/her mark sheet/certificate of Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination at the time of counselling.

Admit Card

Admit Card of UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 for candidates who have applied for admission to offered courses will be available as per the schedule. Candidates can able to download the hall ticket from the university website (www.upvetuniv.edu.in) or from the link that will be provided below. It is also important to read and understand as well as follow instructions given in it.

Results

UP Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU) Mathura will release the (PVT-PRE – 2019) Results. Candidates must download their result and save it.

Counselling

The counselling will take place after the successful completion of the entrance examination and merit list declaration. The candidates whose names will be present in the merit list will have to attend the counselling. A notification regarding counselling for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. & Ph.D. has been released by the conducting body. Candidates can check the same from below.

  • Counselling Venue of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Program is Veterinary College Campus, Mathura and it will be done on July 23 2019 (09:00 AM) onward.
  • Counselling Venue of M.V.Sc. & Ph. D. Program is Veterinary College, Mathura and it will be done on August 07 2019 (09:00 AM) onward.
  • Counselling date of B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology is July 04 2019 (09:00)
  • Counselling Venue of Pre – Diploma Entrance Test (PDET) is College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Mathura and it will be done on August 19 2019 (09:00 AM) onward.

Selection Process

B.V.Sc. & A.H.: The selection of the students for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree course shall be only on the basis of his/her merit in the main PVT examination conducted by DUVASU, Mathura. A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

M.V.Sc. and Ph.D.: Admission to all Post-graduate programmes ( M.V.Sc. & Ph.D.) shall be made strictly on the basis of merit in the PG Entrance Test conducted by DUVASU, Mathura. The PG Entrance Test will be held at University campus, Mathura. The minimum qualifying marks in PGET for M.V.Sc. shall be 50% for UR and OBC, and 45% for SC/ST candidates. The minimum qualifying marks in PGET for Ph.D. shall be 60% for UR and OBC and 50% for SC/ST candidates.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology  /B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Microbiology: Merit in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent and as per the reservation policy of the State. Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from the candidates of the unreserved category. However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates.

MSc./MVSc. Biotechnology – Merit in the qualifying examination i.e. B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/ B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Tech. (Biotech)/, B.V.Sc. & A.H. /B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Fisheries) and as per the reservation policy of the state of U.P. Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from candidates of the unreserved category. However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates.

Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension: Admission of students to diploma programme shall be made only on the basis of his/her merit in the competitive entrance examination. No other merit/ weightage shall be considered for admission to diploma programme.

IMPORTANT GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

  • Candidates are advised to read the instructions given in the PROSPECTUS very carefully. The application form must be completed in all respects.
  • Only online application form will be accepted.
  • Consideration of online application is subject to the successful transaction of the requisite fee to the University account.
  • Original certificates will have to be produced at the time of counselling.
  • Admit card for entrance test may be download from university website (www.upvetuniv.edu.in).
  • Application forms of those candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
  • Admission of the candidate to the Entrance Examination is provisional subject to their being found otherwise eligible for admission to the course concerned.
  • A candidate is required to submit only one application form. If a candidate submits more than one application form, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled.
  • All the students who wish to attend the counselling have to pay non-refundable counselling fee of Rs. 200 at the time of counselling.

Fee Structure

The candidates once allotted a seat in any Diploma programme shall be required to deposit the fees on the date of counselling in cash or in the form of demand draft only in favour of “Finance Officer, Veterinary University, Mathura” payable at Mathura. The selection of a candidate, who does not deposit the fee after allocation of the seat, shall automatically stand cancelled.
