HORTICET 2018

The Horticulture Common Entrance Test (HORTICET) 2018 was held on July 18, 2018. The University will only invite eligible candidates to apply for the entrance exam and admission. The dates and details of the exam has released on the official website, which is www.drysrhu.edu.in. The qualifiers of the exam will receive admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) HORTICET 2018 Result

The merit list of the candidates has been displayed on the University website. For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks, the tie shall be resolved by considering the following:

  • The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.
  • If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates shall be considered and elder one shall be given preference.

Qualifying Marks

The qualifying percentage of marks for the HORTICET-2018 is 25% of the aggregate marks for General/BC categories and in the case of SC/ST candidates, there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates in HORTICET being conducted by the Dr. YSRHU.

HORTICET 2018 Application Form

Interested candidates may apply for admission in the prescribed proforma (enclosed) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.650/- (Rupees Six hundred and fifty only) for General/BC candidates and for Rs.325/- (Rupees Three hundred and twenty five only) in case of SC/ST/Physically Disabled persons drawn in favour of the “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” on any Nationalized Bank (Original DD should be attached with the application form). b) Along with application form, 2 self-addressed envelopes affixed with Rs. 5/- postal stamp should be sent.

Application form duly filled should reach on or before scheduled date either in person or by post. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and Dr. YSRHU is not responsible for any postal delay.

  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • Attested copies of the marks statement of 10th standard and Diploma in Horticulture Course.
  • Latest Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined or punished.
  • Latest Caste Certificate (In case of SC/ST/BC’s) issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer
  • Certificates issued by the concerned authorities of State in the case of Special categories like Physically Disabled persons, NCC, SPORTS and CAP.
  • Two Self addressed stamped envelopes (Rs.5/- postal stamp) (For sending the hall ticket).
  • Three passport size photographs (pasted on the application form and Hall ticket). 8. Eligibility Criteria of HORTICET 2018

A pass in Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. (Those who are going to complete the Diploma requirements in 2018-19 academic year can also apply, but submission of Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture is must at the time of Admission counselling).

Age Limit – The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates and 25 years in respect of S.C. & S.T. candidates and 27 years in respect of Physically Challenged (Disabled persons) candidates.

HORTICET 2018 Admit Card

The list of eligible candidates along with the Hall Ticket numbers will be displayed on the University website i.e., www.drysrhu.edu.in. Those candidates who will not receive the Hall tickets can, however, download the Hall Ticket from the University website and attend the HORTICET test.

Exam Center of HORTICET 2018

There will be only one exam centre for HORTICET 2018 and it will be:

College of Horticulture, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem – 534101, Near Tadepalligudem, West Godavari Dist., on July 18, 2018 (Wednesday) from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.

HORTICET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of HORTICET 2018 is as mentioned below:

The question paper contains questions in Telugu Medium. Entrance test is for 2.00 hours duration and the question paper (Multiple choice objective type questions) consists of 200 multiple choice bits. The Syllabus prescribed by Dr.YSRHU to Diploma in Horticulture Course.

Reservation under HORTICET 2018

Total No. of seats allotted to diploma holders is 15% of seats of B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture: i.e., 83 seats {47 (Govt. College seats) + 36 (Pvt. College Seats)}. As per rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh. The seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates and the remaining 15% seats will be treated as the unreserved quota.
