HORTICET 2020 result has been contemplated to release in the 3rd week of August 2020. According to last year’s result was declared at this time too so may be this year too result will be declared during that time. There will be a certain cut off list that will be published by the University which will specify the minimum eligibility criteria to appear in the offline counselling. The result will be declared in both form i.e., score card and rank list bot so candidates are requested to prepare accordingly. HORTICET 2020 is conducted by Dr. YSR Horticulture University for the admission in B.Sc. in Horticulture course for 4 years. The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the University website.  Also, at the time of the counselling, qualified candidates have to bring their original documents along with the scanned photocopies for the verification purpose.

How to check HORTICET 2020 Result?

The result will be available on the University’s website. Below are the steps given to download your result:

Step 1: Visit the official website of DR. YSRHU

Step 2: Log on to the portal by filling the details correctly like registration number name etc.

Step 3: After the page opens click on the “result” tab

Step 4: Download the PDF file and take a print out of it for counselling process.

Step 5: Candidates need to secure the minimum marks to improve their chances for admission process.

Tie-Breaker of HORTICET 2020

For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks is found then there will be the tie-breaking system resolved by considering the following options:

• Marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., Diploma in Horticulture course and by calculating its aggregate percentage 
• Another option, is by Date of Birth which is to be considered if its still persist, however the elder one shall be given preference

HORTICET 2020 Qualifying Percentage

Dr Y.S.R Horticultural University announces the qualifying percentage marks for HORTI CET. This qualifying percentage of marks varies across different categories. In 2019, the qualifying percentage was 25% of the total HORTICET marks for General Category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates and for Scheduled Caste (SC) category or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, there was no minimum qualifying marks.

The qualifying percentage in 2020 will be remaining the same for all categories. However, this may vary on the discretion of the exam conducting authority on the basis of the following factors:

• Total number of candidates appearing for the exam
• Average marks obtained by all candidates
• Difficulty level of the HORTI CET 2020 paper

HORTICET 2020 Seats and Reservations 

Seats

The criteria for concerned undergraduate course is:

The total number of seats allotted to all the diploma holders is 15% of the seats of B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture that is 83 seats {47 (Govt. College seats) + 36 (Pvt. College Seats) = 83 Seats}.

Reservation

The University will follow reservation rules established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. As per the rules, 85% seats will be allotted to candidates from Andhra Pradesh, while the remaining 15% will be allotted to candidates from outside Andhra Pradesh.

HORTICET 2020 Counselling

The offline counselling begins after the successful declaration of results. Those candidates will be eligible for counselling, whose name is mentioned in the merit list. The University will publish the date of counselling on its official website. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be notified by the authorities to attend the offline counselling with the documents.There will be several rounds of counselling till the seats are fully completed by the aspirants and are successfully complete the admission process. In the meantime, candidates are requested to come to counselling process with original documents otherwise, they will not be qualified for admission. HORTICET 2020 scores will be important at the time of allotment of seats.

Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, formerly Andhra Pradesh Horticultural University is a state university located at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2007 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and focuses on education and research of horticultural science, as well as some educational programmes which were offered under Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University. It was originally managed by a government official until the appointment of the first Vice-Chancellor in 2008, when it became independent. It was renamed as Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University in 2011.

HORTICET exam is an Entrance examination and also a state level Examination. Dr. Y. S.R Horticulture University (Dr. YSRHU), Venkataramannagudem is the Conducting Body of HORTICET 2020 exam. Qualified applicants in the Entrance examination will get the admission in the Undergraduates program of Horticulture Course. Duration of the B.Sc Horticulture course is 4 years.
