Agriculture, on CUET-UG merit in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The 2027-28 offline form is expected in June 2027.
NSEE 2027
This page explains how Nagaland State Reserved seats are filled now that NSEE is not held: the CUET-UG route, dates, the DTE form, eligibility, courses and selection.

Is NSEE 2027 being held?
No. NSEE is no longer held, and there is no separate state entrance test for 2027. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Nagaland now fills the Nagaland State Reserved seats in Para-Medical and Agri & Allied degree courses on the merit of CUET-UG scores in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
NSEE was conducted by DTE itself. In February 2023, DTE notified that it would no longer conduct NSEE and that state seats would be filled on the combined CUET-UG score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Its notice for 2025-26 again said there will be no separate entrance test. The 2026-27 seats were filled the same way, on the CUET-UG 2026 merit list. So to get a state seat in 2027 you must take CUET-UG 2027 (run by NTA) and then apply to DTE.

NSEE 2027 Important Dates
DTE has not announced the 2027-28 schedule yet, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026. In 2026 the form notice came on 21 May, forms were accepted from 1 to 30 June and state counselling was held in July.

How to Apply for NSEE 2027 (State Reserved Seats Through CUET-UG)
You apply in two steps: first take CUET-UG 2027 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, then submit DTE Nagaland’s offline application form with your CUET score card. There is no online application or candidate login for the state seats; the form is handed in at the DTE office in Kohima.
Apply Online for NSEE 2027
Applications for NSEE 2027 are expected in June 2027.
- Register for CUET-UG 2027 on the NTA website and choose Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your subjects.
- Once DTE issues its notice (expected around May 2027), collect the form from the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima (below the Nagaland Civil Secretariat complex), or download it from the DTE website and print it on white A4 paper.
- Fill in your Class 10 and Class 12 details, your Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English marks, your CUET-UG scores and rank, and up to eight courses in order of preference.
- Attach three passport-size photos, your HSLC admit card, HSSLC admit card and mark sheet, CUET-UG score sheet, ST certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland certificate and, if it applies, a Backward Tribe certificate.
- Submit the form by hand at DTE Kohima with the fee before the last date (30 June in 2026). If the CUET-UG result comes out after the last date, hand in the score card within seven days of the result.

Choose your course order carefully. DTE’s guidelines say preferences cannot be changed once the form is submitted, and a form with overwriting is marked cancelled. Incomplete forms are rejected.
Who can apply for Nagaland State Reserved seats in 2027?
You can apply if you have passed Class 12 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have taken CUET-UG in those three subjects. The 2026-27 form and guidelines also set these conditions:
- You must meet the minimum marks the college or university sets for the course you choose.
- The form asks for an ST certificate and an Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland certificate.
- Selection follows the state reservation policy, including the backward tribe quota.
- If the state government has already selected, nominated or sponsored you for any course in the past, you are not eligible.
Which courses are filled on CUET-UG merit?
For 2026-27, DTE listed eight degree courses under CUET-UG (Nagaland reserved seats). The 2027-28 list is expected to be similar but will be confirmed in the next form.

Which courses now need NEET-UG instead?
From 2026-27, four allied health courses moved from CUET-UG to NEET-UG under the NCAHP Act, 2021, as per DTE’s public notice of 25 March 2026. If you want a state reserved seat in any of these, take NEET-UG 2027, not only CUET-UG.

How are students selected after the merit list?
A State Common Selection Board (SCSB), with members from all the user departments, selects candidates. It looks at your CUET-UG merit, the course’s minimum marks, the state reservation policy and the course options on your form.
- DTE publishes a state merit list on CUET-UG marks and a rejected list on its website and office notice board. In 2026 this came on 6 July.
- Check your name, father’s name, date of birth, CUET marks and tribe details, and report any mistake by the deadline (9 July in 2026).
- DTE then declares the provisionally selected candidates on the board’s recommendation (14 July in 2026).
- Attend state counselling at DTE, Kohima on the notified date. In 2026 the top 500 on the merit list and the selected candidates were called on 23 July; anyone absent was treated as having declined the seat.
- Collect your nomination letter for the allotted seat and report to the college.
You may upgrade to a higher choice while vacant seats remain, but you cannot move down your list. DTE warns that giving up an allotted seat late may invite a penalty.
