AP NEET Counselling 2026 is the Andhra Pradesh state counselling for MBBS and BDS seats, run by Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTR UHS), Vijayawada, on NEET UG 2026 scores. It fills Competent Authority and Management Quota seats in government and private colleges. MBBS and BDS Phase-II allotments are out, and the MBBS Phase-III (mop-up) round is awaited.

Latest (10 October 2026): Dr NTR UHS released the final MBBS allotment under the NCC category on 10 October 2026, a day after the BDS Competent Authority Quota Phase-II final result. Candidates allotted in both lists had to report at their colleges by 12 October 2026.

AP NEET Counselling 2026 Important Dates

Competent Authority Quota (CQ) Phase-I and Phase-II are over for both MBBS and BDS, and Management Quota rounds are still running. Dr NTR UHS has not yet notified the MBBS Phase-III (mop-up) schedule. The 2027 counselling is expected to start around August 2027, after the NEET UG 2027 result.

Which seats are filled through AP NEET counselling?

Dr NTR UHS fills every MBBS and BDS seat in Andhra Pradesh except the 15% All India Quota of government colleges. One application covers all Competent Authority Quota seats, including 126 MBBS seats at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women (SVIMS), Tirupati.

For All India Quota seats, AIIMS Mangalagiri and other central seats, register separately in MCC NEET counselling. Candidates who joined an All India Quota seat up to MCC Round 3 cannot take part in the AP Phase-III (mop-up) round.

How to apply for AP NEET Counselling 2026?

You apply once online for all Competent Authority Quota rounds, then exercise web options before each phase. Management Quota seats need a separate application on their own portal.

The AP NEET Counselling 2026 application window (5 to 12 August 2026) has closed.

Open the Dr NTR UHS MBBS/BDS application portal during the application window, preferably on a desktop or laptop. In 2026, applications ran from 5 to 12 August, with late fee till 14 August and again on 18 and 19 August.
Enter your basic details. Your User ID is sent to your registered mobile number; note it and keep it private.
Fill in your NEET UG 2026 details, local area, category and any special category you claim.
Upload scanned original certificates as PDF files (mostly up to 500 KB each), with your photo and signature.
Pay the application and processing fee online by debit card, credit card or net banking.
Check the provisional merit position, raise a grievance if needed, and exercise web options when each phase is notified.

The university fee is paid online before you download the allotment order, and it is not refunded. In 2026 the Management Quota application ran from 2 to 7 September, and late registrations were taken again from 30 September to 1 October 2026.

How to log in to the Dr NTR UHS MBBS/BDS candidate portal?

You log in to the candidate portal to exercise web options for each phase and to download your allotment order after paying the university fee.

Open the official MBBS login page. Management Quota candidates use the Management Quota login page.
Enter the User ID sent to your registered mobile at registration.
Enter your password and the captcha, then select Login.
Exercise or check your web options. An OTP is sent to your registered mobile and email when you save and submit them.
After an allotment, pay the university fee online and download your allotment order.

Who can apply for AP NEET Counselling 2026?

You must be an Indian national, PIO or OCI cardholder who has qualified NEET UG 2026 and meets the Andhra Pradesh local or non-local rules.

NEET UG 2026 score at or above the cut-off: 213 marks for OC and EWS (50th percentile), 194 for OC/EWS PwBD, and 177 for SC, ST and BC (40th percentile).
Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English: at least 50% in science subjects for OC, 40% for BC, SC and ST, and 45% for OC PwBD.
At least 17 years of age on 31 December 2026.
Local or non-local status as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.
OCI or PIO cardholders registered on or after 4 March 2021 can take only NRI or supernumerary seats.
Caste and EWS certificates must be issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh; a central OBC certificate is not accepted for state quota.

How are AP local area and reserved seats decided?

85% of Competent Authority Quota seats in each local area go to local candidates of that area, and 15% are unreserved. Andhra Pradesh has two local areas for medical admissions.

You are a local candidate of an area if you studied there for at least four consecutive years ending with the year you first took the qualifying exam, or lived there for four years if you did not study.
Otherwise, you belong to the area where you studied (or lived) longest during the seven years before the qualifying exam.
The 15% unreserved seats are also open to candidates who lived in Andhra Pradesh for 10 years, or whose parent did, and to children or spouses of state or central government employees working in Andhra Pradesh.
Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada is a statewide institution: its 85% local seats are split between AU and SVU locals in the ratio 65.62 to 34.38.
Government Dental College, Vijayawada has been treated as an AU-area college since 2024-25.

SC certificates must name the sub-group (Group-1, 2 or 3). Special category seats are reserved within each of the OC, BC, SC and ST categories.

Which colleges take part in AP NEET counselling?

The MBBS Phase-I list of 29 August 2026 has 39 colleges with 4,581 Competent Authority Quota seats: 19 government colleges (2,631 seats) and 20 private colleges (1,950 seats). These are the government colleges.

What is the MBBS fee in Andhra Pradesh?

Tuition for 2026-27 will be as decided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, subject to pending writ petitions. These are the latest published figures, with the year they apply to.

The interim 2026-27 private college fees were fixed by G.O.Ms.No.785 of 29 August 2026. Candidates with a parental income certificate or white ration card can upload it for fee reimbursement.

How do AP counselling phases, upgrades and free exit work?

Each phase has web options, a provisional result, grievances and a final result before reporting.

There is no limit on web options, so list every college you would join in order of preference. Options once submitted cannot be changed.
If you do not join an allotted college, you cannot choose that college again in a later phase.
Joined candidates of Phase-I and Phase-II slide to a better choice automatically, up to Phase-III only.
Free exit lets you resign a Phase-I or Phase-II seat within the notified window and get your fees back, but you leave the counselling. In 2026 the window closed at 3 PM on 3 October.
Phase-III (mop-up) needs fresh options and a Rs 50,000 security deposit. A Phase-III seat cannot be resigned and is not upgraded later.
Stray vacancy rounds follow for any seats still left, for candidates on the final merit list who hold no seat.

Upload scans of these with your application, and carry the originals with one set of self-attested copies when you report at the college.

Is the AP MBBS Phase-III (mop-up) schedule out?

Not yet. As of 13 October 2026, Dr NTR UHS has announced the MBBS Phase-II and NCC allotments, but not the Phase-III (mop-up) web options. Watch drntr.uhsap.in for the notice.

Is AP NEET counselling still run by YSRUHS?

No. The counselling is run by Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, which posts every notice on drntr.uhsap.in. Older pages naming Dr. YSR UHS and drysruhs.edu.in are out of date.

Can students from other states get an MBBS seat in Andhra Pradesh?

Yes, but not through local seats. They can apply for All India Quota seats through MCC, Category B1 management seats (open to all of India) and NRI seats. The 15% unreserved CQ seats need a 10-year residence or employment link with AP.

What fee do I pay to download the AP allotment order?

For a Competent Authority Quota seat, the university fee is Rs 12,600. For MBBS self-financing or Category B seats it is Rs 35,100, and for NRI or Category C seats Rs 70,100. Tuition is paid at the college.

When will AP NEET Counselling 2027 start?

It will follow the NEET UG 2027 result. In 2026 the notification came on 5 August and the final merit list on 29 August, so the 2027 counselling is expected around August 2027.
