AP NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the Andhra Pradesh state admission process for MD, MS and PG Diploma seats, run by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, on NEET PG 2026 merit. It covers Competent Authority Quota (CQ) and Management Quota (MQ) seats. The 2026-27 CQ notification is expected in October 2026.

Dr NTR UHS has not yet announced the PG (Medical) 2026-27 schedule, but MCC’s national schedule fixes state Round 1 for 21 October to 2 November 2026, with joining by 10 November 2026.

Which seats are filled through AP NEET PG counselling?
Dr NTR UHS fills the state quota PG medical seats of colleges affiliated to it and of SVIMS Tirupati, in two separate streams: Competent Authority Quota (CQ) and Management Quota (MQ). All India Quota seats of government colleges go through MCC NEET PG counselling.

In CQ seats of non-statewide institutions, 85% of the seats in each course are reserved for AP local candidates and 15% are unreserved (G.O.Ms.No.83, 23 July 2025). MQ has no caste reservation; the lower percentile for reserved categories only decides eligibility.
How to apply for AP NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You apply online on the Dr NTR UHS website, separately for CQ and MQ, pay the registration fee and upload scanned original documents for verification. The steps follow the 2025-26 process; the 2026-27 notification and prospectus may change details.
Apply Online for AP NEET PG Counselling 2026
The AP NEET PG Counselling 2026 application dates have not been announced yet.
- Open the Dr NTR UHS website and read the PG (Medical) prospectus and user manual once the 2026-27 notification is out.
- Fill the online application for CQ, and separately for MQ if you want private college management seats.
- Pay the registration and processing fee online. It is not refunded or adjusted later.
- Upload scanned original documents, including your AP caste certificate if you claim reservation.
- Check the provisional merit list and the provisional final merit list (CQ lists are separate for in-service and non-service candidates).
- Exercise web options in each phase when the notification is issued, then report at the allotted college with original documents and fees.

Selected candidates also pay a non-refundable university fee: Rs 23,600 for CQ and Rs 49,600 for MQ in 2025-26.
Who can apply for AP NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You can apply if you qualify NEET PG 2026 at the required percentile and hold an MBBS with internship completed by the cut-off date. The rules below are from the 2025-26 notifications.
- NEET PG percentile: 50th for General and EWS, 45th for General-PwBD, 40th for SC, ST and OBC including PwBD (2025 cut-off scores were 276, 255 and 235 out of 800).
- Internship completed by the cut-off date set for the year (31 July in 2025).
- For CQ seats, local or non-local status as per the Presidential Order (G.O.P.No.646 of 1979) and G.O.Ms.No.83 of 2025. Candidates from other states without this status are not eligible for CQ.
- Only caste certificates issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh are accepted; others are treated as General category.
- In-service quota (2025-26): as per G.O.Ms.No.85 of 2024 and G.O.Ms.No.99 of 2025, with age below 50 years on 16 April 2025.
- Candidates from other states may apply for MQ seats but must check eligibility in the MQ prospectus.
How do counselling phases work in AP NEET PG admission?
Seats are allotted on NEET PG merit through web options in phases, run separately for CQ and MQ.
- Phases: Phase I, Phase II, Phase III (mop-up) and a stray vacancy round. In 2025-26 the stray vacancy round ended in February 2026.
- Each phase has its own web options notification, provisional allotment and final college-wise allotment list.
- In 2025-26 the university allowed a free exit after Phase I and Phase II within notified dates.
- A candidate allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round who does not report is debarred from AP medical admission for the next academic year.
- A candidate who discontinues a PG course after joining cannot take part in AP state counselling (CQ and MQ) for three years (G.O.Ms.No.67 of 2017).
On 26 September 2026 Dr NTR UHS named 172 candidates (21 non-reporting stray round allottees and 151 who discontinued) who are not eligible for AP NEET PG 2026-27 counselling.
What is the PG medical tuition fee in Andhra Pradesh private colleges?
Tuition depends on the seat category and branch type. These are the latest official figures; the 2026-27 fee will be set by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
