Is the AIIPMR entrance test being held in 2027?
That is not clear yet. AIIPMR has not published a prospectus, test notice or result for any year after 2022-23. The latest prospectuses on aiipmr.gov.in are for 2022-23, when the test was held on 27 November 2022.
The institute’s Academic page still says that the all-India half of the MPTh, MOTh and MPO seats is filled through a test conducted by the institute. Its news page, last updated on 7 October 2026, lists only MUHS inspection (LIC) documents for the 2026-27 courses and recruitment notices. Ignore sites that show AIIPMR 2027 dates; any real date will come from aiipmr.gov.in.

Which AIIPMR courses use the entrance test?
The test fills only the all-India quota of the postgraduate and fellowship courses. The other half of the seats goes to Maharashtra candidates through DMER Maharashtra or MUHS Nashik.

Intake figures are from the institute’s Academic page. In 2022-23 the institute’s own test filled 3 MPTh, 1 MOTh, 2 MPO, 5 FCRPT and 5 FCROT seats, with reservation as per Government of India rules. A new prospectus may change these numbers.
How to apply for the AIIPMR entrance test?
In the last official cycle (2022-23) the application was offline, with no online portal. If the test is notified again, the new prospectus will set the process. These are the 2022-23 steps:
- Download the prospectus and application form from aiipmr.gov.in (or collect it from the institute).
- Fill in the form and the admit card (in duplicate), with the same recent photograph on both.
- Pay the fee by demand draft in favour of ‘Director, AIIPMR’, payable at Mumbai, and write your name, course and mobile number on its back.
- Attach caste, non-creamy layer or disability certificates if they apply, and a self-addressed 23 cm x 11.5 cm envelope with Rs 60 postage marked ‘Admit card for (course name)’.
- Submit the form in Room 201, 2nd floor, at AIIPMR, Haji Ali, Mumbai, or send it by post to reach by the last date (14 November 2022 in that cycle).
- Your admit card reaches you by post about 10 days before the test. If it does not, collect a duplicate at the centre on test day by showing a photocopy of your demand draft.

Fees are not refundable. Late or incomplete forms were not accepted in 2022-23.
Who can apply for the AIIPMR entrance test?
You need a bachelor’s degree in the same therapy field with the compulsory internship completed. The 2022-23 prospectus set these rules:
- MPTh and FCRPT: Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from a recognised university with 6 months of compulsory internship.
- MOTh and FCROT: Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from a recognised university with 6 months of compulsory internship.
- MPO: BPO from an RCI-recognised institute with internship; RCI registration is required.
- PT and OT courses: registration with the Maharashtra State OT/PT Council (candidates from outside Maharashtra get time to obtain it, with a late fee).
- Internship had to be completed by 31 July 2022 (31 October 2022 for MPO).
- Indian nationals only. Degrees from an agricultural university or through distance education are not accepted.
- Final eligibility is granted by MUHS Nashik, not by the institute.
What was the AIIPMR entrance test pattern?
The last official test was an offline written MCQ paper in English, held in Mumbai, with no negative marking. The pattern below is from the 2022-23 prospectuses.
