Which seats are filled through MCC NEET PG counselling?
MCC fills the domicile-free PG seats across India; the remaining state quota seats are filled by each state’s counselling authority. The MCC information bulletin lists these seat groups:

AIQ seats follow central reservation: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC (non-creamy layer, central list) 27%, EWS 10%, and a 5% horizontal PwD quota. In 2025, MCC counselling covered 28,750 PG seats in 1,985 institutes, with 1,03,596 candidates taking part.
How to apply for NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You register online on the MCC PG Medical Counselling page using your NEET PG 2026 details, pay the fee and security deposit, then fill and lock your choices. The mobile number and email from your NBEMS application are pre-filled and cannot be changed.
Apply Online for NEET PG Counselling 2026
The NEET PG Counselling 2026 application window (12 to 21 October 2026) has closed. Round 1 reporting and joining till 2 Nov 2026. PwD assessment portal open till 6:00 PM on 2 Nov; Round 2 registration 6 to 11 Nov 2026.
- Open the MCC PG Medical Counselling page and click New Registration for NEET PG Counselling 2026 under Candidate Activity Board.
- Accept the instructions and consent form, then enter your roll number, application number, name, mother’s name and date of birth exactly as on the NEET PG 2026 admit card.
- Set a password of 8 to 13 characters with an upper case letter, a lower case letter, a number and a special character, and verify the OTP sent to your mobile or email.
- Fill the application form (with bank account details for refunds), MBBS and internship details, the counselling types you want, and your address. Upload the documents and images, then preview and submit.
- Pay the registration fee and security deposit online. Choice filling stays locked until the payment is complete.
- Fill your choices in order of preference and lock them with your password and an OTP before the deadline, then print the locked choices letter.

Who can apply for MCC NEET PG Counselling 2026?
Any candidate who qualified NEET PG 2026 at the cut-off for their category can register; AIQ, deemed, central university and DNB seats are domicile free.
- MBBS degree or provisional certificate, with one year of internship completed by 30 September 2026.
- Permanent registration with a State Medical Council or NMC; provisional registration is accepted only for candidates finishing internship by 30 September 2026.
- PwD candidates must get an online eligibility certificate from a designated MCC Medical Assessment Board before choice filling. For 2026, the Primary Boards are open until 15 October and the Appellate Board until 18 October.
- Candidates seeking NRI seats in deemed universities must select the NRI category at registration and upload sponsorship proof for online verification.
- Civilian candidates (AFMS Priority V) can opt for AFMS seats only if they are 30 years old or younger, and must serve 5 years as Short Service Commissioned Officers.
What is the NEET PG Counselling 2026 cut off?
To join MCC counselling you need at least the NEET PG 2026 qualifying score for your category, as declared by NBEMS on 24 September 2026.

How do Freeze and Float work after a seat is allotted?
From 2026, every candidate who gets a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 submits a one-time willingness choice on the portal: Freeze or Float.
- Freeze: you keep the seat and do not want an upgrade. You report in person at the allotted college with original documents to join.
- Float: you want an upgrade in the next round. You upload documents and the college verifies them online, so you do not need to travel.
- Both groups upload clear scanned documents (PDF, 20 KB to 500 KB each) on the MCC portal within 2 to 3 days of the final allotment.
- Round 1: you may exit with no penalty. Round 2: exiting or not joining forfeits the security deposit.
- Round 3: everyone allotted a seat must join; no resignation is allowed, and a candidate who does not join loses the deposit and cannot take part in further rounds.
- Stray vacancy round: fresh registration and choices are needed, and only candidates holding no seat in AIQ, state or deemed counselling can apply.
The security deposit is refunded only after all rounds end, to the account it was paid from, without interest.
Which documents are needed when you report to the allotted college?
Carry these originals when you report; MCC allotment is provisional until the college verifies them.

- NEET PG 2026 admit card and result or rank letter from NBEMS
- MBBS 1st, 2nd and 3rd professional mark sheets and MBBS degree or provisional certificate
- Internship completion certificate (internship to be completed by 30 September 2026)
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate from the State Medical Council
- Class 10 certificate or birth certificate as date of birth proof, and a photo ID (driving licence, voter ID, passport or Aadhaar)
- If applicable: SC/ST, OBC-NCL or EWS certificate in the bulletin format, PwD eligibility certificate from an MCC board, NRI/OCI documents
A candidate whose originals are deposited with another institution is not admitted. Fees, bonds and stipend differ by college, so confirm them on the college website before filling choices.
