PUBDET/PUMDET Question Paper Pattern
The pattern of the previous year question papers is provided below.
Mode – The exam is an offline exam.
- For subjects of political science, chemistry, economics, geography, geology, life sciences, mathematics, physics, statistics,history, the language of paper is English and Bengali.
- For subjects of bengali, english and hindi the language of paper is Bengali, English and Hindi respectively.
- For philosophy or sociology or performing arts the language of paper is English.
Duration: The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
Marking Scheme – For every correct answer 2 mark will be given and for every incorrect answer ½ mark will be deducted.
Type of Questions – The exam carries multiple choice questions.
Total Number of questions: The exam carries total 50 questions.
Marks – The exam carries questions of total 100 marks.
How to use Previous Year Question Paper (PUBDET/PUMDET) for preparation?
Students can follow the steps given below to use the previous year question papers.
Step 1: Read all the instructions written on the question paper before starting to practice the question paper.
Step 2: Bring an OMR sheet available in the market and fill the details of the roll number and question booklet number on the sheet.
Step 3: Solve the first question in the question paper and mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet with blue or black ball point pen. Similarly solve other questions in the question paper and mark them in the answer sheet. Do not mark the answers which are doubtful.
Step 4: Check the time as it should not exceed than 90 minutes and finish it early if possible.
Step 5: Review all the marked answers and mark the remaining unanswered questions.
Step 6: After checking that the complete question paper has been solved and all answer are marked, check the answers form the answer key.
