What happens in the 2nd round counselling on 28 October 2026?
DME Tripura will fill the seats left vacant after the first round. The 2nd round for both GNM (M+F) and ANM (R) is on 28 October 2026 at the DME office, Dr. P.B. Das Memorial Building, 2nd floor, Bidurkarta Chowmuhani, near Lal Pathology, Agartala.
- Who can attend: candidates in the common merit list who registered and appeared in the interview, and who are willing to take admission.
- Reporting time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon; counselling starts at 12 noon.
- Bring your original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
- Reserved category (SC and ST) candidates must attend. Reserved seats not taken in this round will be given to candidates as per merit.

Admission is on merit, without a written entrance exam. DME Tripura runs every step, from registration to counselling.
- DME publishes an educational notification and opens online registration for GNM (Male and Female) and ANM (R) (Female).
- Registered candidates appear for an interview.
- DME publishes separate common merit lists for GNM (Female), GNM (Male) and ANM (R) on its website, with each candidate’s category.
- Candidates are called for counselling in merit order and choose from the seats available in their category.
- Seats left vacant go to a 2nd round, where unfilled reserved seats are converted to merit.
How to apply for Tripura ANM GNM admission?
You apply online when DME Tripura posts the educational notification on its website. Registration for 2026-27 is closed; the 2027-28 window is expected around July 2027. In 2026 it was set to open on 18 July and was postponed that day for technical reasons.

The application fee could not be verified from an official 2026-27 notice, so pay only the amount stated in the educational notification.
How is the Tripura GNM and ANM merit list prepared?
Your merit total is 90% of your HS (+2) percentage plus your interview marks. For example, in the 2026-27 GNM (Female) list a candidate with 88.50% in Class 12 got 79.65, added 9 interview marks and reached a total of 88.65.
The 2026-27 lists came out by 15 September 2026, and a corrigendum of 18 September 2026 fixed one category and one name and date of birth in the GNM lists. Check your entry in both the merit list PDF and the corrigendum.
Who can apply for Tripura ANM GNM admission?
You need to have passed HS (+2) or an equivalent exam and be a permanent resident of Tripura. These are the conditions seen in the 2026-27 counselling notices.
- GNM: open to male and female candidates with an HS (+2) or equivalent pass.
- ANM (R): open to female candidates only, with an HS (+2) or equivalent pass.
- Residency: a Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) must be shown at counselling.
- Candidates who passed ANM (R) from an INC and SNRC recognised institution and apply for GNM must bring their ANM (R) marksheet.
